Food is not bad. Would have been a four star if there was better prices for the quality. I had pasta and it was comparable to east side marios but double the price.

Went on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Had read previous reviews so thought we would give it a try. Took about 25 minutes for our order to arrive. Considering we had a burger and the grilled chicken sandwich it was quite a long wait. Was expecting a large burger for the $ 14 they charged. Was very small however it was delicious. My husband’s sandwich was even smaller. Wait staff was very friendly but we would not return.

Food is very tasty — had the firehouse burger with sweet yam fries and it was great, burger is not too spicy but has a kick to it. My friend said the tomato soup was a bit spicy. Service is really slow and we waited over 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I asked for napkins twice, with 2 different waitresses and the napkins never arrived. Finally a fellow customer took pity on us and handed me a couple. She said that she was going to take them home but felt bad that I had none. When we asked for the bill(right after having finished eating since we expected yet another delay), we waited for another 15mins for the bill to arrive. Overall, food is great with lousy service — will not go back

Great location, awesome presentation and fantastic service but the food left something to be desired. Tried the Firehouse Burger expecting some heat or at least a bit of zing but got neither. Burger was nicely cooked and tender. Bun was fresh and fries were well done but everything lacked in flavour. Will return for the cold beer on the patio but not to eat.

Let me start by saying that I have never written a review, however I was so upset with the disrespect and lack of service at this restaurant that I actually took the time to download the Unilocal app to record my experience — Decided on this place for lunch with my wife(it was my wife’s birthday) and three children due to its patio over looking the lake — Sat at our table for almost 10mins with zero service while four or five servers passed our table on a regular basis — I got the attention of the hostess and asked if anyone was working our section, which she confirmed she just reminded the server to come to our table — Waited almost 10mins again and decided to walk out — While we were walking out, I noticed someone collecting our menus from our table — Shared the story with my In-Laws and they confirmed they had the same experience — Ownership/Management had the place properly staffed, and they were not overly busy — Chose another restaurant in Port Perry! — I’m leaving 1 star because the app forces me too

Went here with our parents for an afternoon Sunday lunch — food and service were amazing! We were very impressed and happy that we chose to come here, since we don’t come to Port Perry that often and place our decisions on Unilocal reviews mostly. Definitely cannot wait to come back and sit on the patio sometime!!!

I’ll keep it simple and sweet! AMAZING service, AMAZING food really great ambience and the people beside us were an absolute pleasure. Garlic fries, cajun shrimp, chicken wings. Best I may have ever had.

A very tasty burger to be had here! In fact all the food we tried was good, but I was particularly impressed with how delicious the burgers were. The patio is great on a sunny day, it’s nice to relax and people watch, looking out towards the lake. Which, of course, makes it very popular and thus somewhere that can get very crowded. It’s hit and miss as to how long you have to wait to get served, but if you’re lucky and get a spot to sit, it’s typically worth the wait.

Here for a late lunch. What a treasure! The food was spectacular. I’d come here for the garlic fries alone! Service was friendly and quick. I’m only in the area once a year for a couple of weeks, but I will be sure to come back.

Went there a couple weeks ago. Took a while to get seated as greeter was on the phone booking a reservation. Maybe someone could fill in for him if he was busy. Ordered coffee to start, arrived barely warm. She would make a new pot. 10 minutes later, asked the other server if coffee was ready. she would check. Couple minutes later, coffee arrived. hot. Then the meal arrived. had to ask for condiments. Meal finished, noticed a hair in co workers meal. They had finished most of it, so didn’t say anything. Had to ask for more coffee. With 2 servers in that section, and not overly busy, i would have expected a little better service. Food was good, minus the hair; but service is lacking.

Lots of great choices. Try the patio on a sunny day or boat in from the lake. Love the burgers.

For patio side in Port Perry this is as good as it gets. The food is solid, drink selection is great, and the patio has a nice running little brook(hand made) to the side to set a degree of ambience. The concerts in the park are nice to watch from this patio.

I have been here several times… the service as mentioned by others is incredibly slow! A couple of friends have told me I may just be going at «off times», lol I guess that could be the case but really. I make it a habit to ask what the«specialty of the house» is or the signature dishes are hoping to find that special gem, with that said I kept getting told that the” Harp & Wylies Private Reserve Garlic Frites«are the single best item to try as a side or app. Okay, I gave in and gave them a shot … the first problem is. FROZENFRIES?!, really? okay not a wise choice but hey odd choice for a place that claims quality… second problem with these«must haves» is garlic from a jar!?! I find this incredibly cheap and lazy, since they claim on the menu that they use fresh garlic! «CRISPYFRIEDCALAMARI WITHROASTEDTOMATOSAUCEANDCITRUSAIOLIFORDIPPING» was way over cooked rubber bits of squid with tomato sauce. I found it a very disappointing meal to say the least add the slow service to the meal of blah and really… No real reason to return. The patio has a fantastic view of the lake… So try it and post it here, maybe it won’t be an «off» time, lol

Second visit and the food is still amazing(but slow). I was on another casino run with my mother and my aunt and we needed a late night dinner. I raved about how good this place was so we agreed to have dinner here. The service is good but the food is slow. I’m okay with this because the food is great. It’s not pre made or pre packaged pub food. The meat comes from a local butcher which I was really impressed with. My mother had the ribs with garlic frites — loved them! My aunt had the famous Wylie burger — amazing! To quote her«this is the best burger I’ve ever had!» And I opted for the panko crusted chicken tenders with sweet potato fries. Delicious! And best part — the bill! For 3 of us with 2 glasses of wine $ 63.00! I can’t wait to go to the casino again!

Great local place. went for outdoor lunch. Waiter was so nice and tried to assist my hb in findng a nice Canadian beer! Even lunch items had a little twist, breading on chicken fingers was different and delish, Nice local place!!!

Excellent food made fresh. Spicy IS spicy, so be warned. The Grill House sandwich was really good, as well as the sweet potatoe fries. but not too many places in town with good fresh food that’s not microwaved or fried.
