Lessons in Dance Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pointe, Irish, Highland, Voice, Ballroom, Latin and Music (Piano and Flute). All teachers are accredited through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (CDTA), Applied Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT), Dance Masters of America (DMA), Cecchetti, the British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD) and the Royal Conservatory of Music. We offer 6,000 square feet of state-​of-​the-​art facilities with a mezzanine level, huge viewing windows, kitchen, change rooms, study room, dance-​wear boutique and ample free parking.

History

Established in 2000.

Port Perry Dance Academy was founded in September 2000. The Academy was originally located at 112 Water Street in a 900 square– foot facility. The Academy now occupies 6,000 square feet at 16 050 Old Simcoe Road in Port Perry. From its inception, the Academy has been the region’s most innovative Performing Arts school being the first to introduce classes in Hip Hop, Highland, Irish and Ballroom. The Academy has been voted #1 for the past 12 years by the readers of the Port Perry Star.
