Very unfortunate! I was asked to wait outside in order to be seated. The waitress never came back… Just looked at me from The counter inside… Not good treatment. Walked down The street and found so many good options…

Our group of 10 were seated immediately for lunch(3 separate tables next to each other), and had excellent service. I had the roast beef, onion and Swiss crêpe with maple syrup. It was one of the best lunches I had during my stay in Quebec.

Crepes were Just ok seemed more Rubbery than what I expected. Price Was fair. Would not return. Service Was slow and when you pay you Must go to the front of the store. While paying the person I paid Asked me if I left a tip at the Table. I thought that was rude and uncalled for.

Very very small place. A little slow service but the salad and the sandwich were very good.

We went for dinner and each made our own crepes from the options of vegetables and meat. It was a large portion and they really fill the crêpe! Given that this was my first crêpe experience I would have liked more premade crêpe options rather than choose your toppings as I was really unsure about what tastes good together. Regardless, in the end my beef, cheese and mushroom crêpe was pretty good. I would like to try their desert crepes next.

My wife and I have been coming here for several years. The crepes are outstanding and the service is quick and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. On our latest trip, I had a ham/swiss/asparagus crêpe and we shared a chestnut cream/whipped cream one for dessert. A+ in every way. *On a side note, I lost my wallet here with $ 200 in it and the restaurant mailed it back to my home in the U.S. with everything in it! I can’t thank you guys enough!!!

Great breakfast spot — food was delicious and came quick. Free coffee refills are a plus. Service was great! Definitely will be back.

Our favourite crêpe place in Old Quebec city. Both savoury and sweet crepes are delicious. It is crunchy at the edge and soft buttery with a bit of chewy texture from the inside. My kid loved this place so much that we come almost everyday for lunch on our entire 10 days visit. The hot cappuccino and mocha are a great hit for my husband and I. The price is great(for the tourist area so it could be a bit more expensive for some).

Spotted the line out the door at lunch time so we lined up late the next evening — only a few people deep and the cue moved timely. It’s very small inside, a real French feeling café with the center of the café being manned with one crêpe maker — the tall blonde young woman at the post was amazing to watch! Her timing and technique made the wait enjoyable as we observed through the glass. The crepes were a new French twist for me and I loved it. Keep in mind everybody makes the same thing differently. Their crepes give the appearance of a flour tortilla but don’t be fooled, they are delicious. Our adorable young French server steered me toward the«sugar & butter» crêpe and we ordered another crêpe chocolat. The sugar & butter crêpe was freaking delicious — the perfect sweet combination that this sweet tooth and tummy was looking for! The chocolat crêpe, I of course had to try a bite; it was yummy and I’m a chocolate lover but the Sugar & Butter was the clear winner! We just enjoyed dessert, a latte & hot chocolat after walking & window shopping old Quebec in the evening. It’s the perfect café to choose for a terrific crêpe and great old French atmosphere! (LOVED all the ladies serving with their longer hair twisted up in their colorful, funky scarves in the coolest way!)

Very good! After a less than stellar experience at a nearby creperie that shall remain nameless, we were very happy to finally find the restaurant we had hoped to visit in the first place! Unfortunately we only stopped in for dessert, hoping to find a delicious, authentic crêpe, and we definitely found it here. The waitstaff was exceedingly friendly and patient with a couple tourists who enjoy speaking french, but aren’t natively fluent. I went with the strawberry crêpe and added chocolate and it was perfectly decadent. My fiancé opted for the apple and swiss cheese crêpe and it was delicious as well. I honestly wished we hadn’t already had dinner elsewhere so we could try some of their savory crêpe! The next time I find myself in Old Quebec, I’ll make a point of returning.

This place is excellent. They have good crepes, good prices and a casual ambiance. If you sit at a window table you can people watch and have a breeze :) We ordered a savory crêpe with ham, onion, mushroom and Swiss cheese which was prefect for sharing. This was a really delicious combination! Next we ordered a dessert crêpe with fresh strawberry with whip cream, also very good. The crepes themselves were chewy, moist and tasted freshly made. I personally preferred the savory crêpe but I recommend both. If you’re on a budget and want a great crêpe give this place a try! It was worth it :)

This creperie serves a more crispy type of crêpe, not the traditional type that most people are used to. The crepes were rather large, and mine(avec les fraises frais) was brimming with strawberries. My buddy had a ham and cheese crêpe which said was good, but very different from the crepes he enjoyed in Paris. There’s nothing at all wrong with the crepes — they’re good, and you just need to modify your expectations. The service, as others have noted, is extremely slow. If you’re hoping to just grab a quick crêpe, this is not the place for you. It was an hour start-to-finish for us, so just plan appropriately. Request seating in the side dining room, which is a bit more spacious and definitely cooler than the main room where the crepes are prepared.

Le Casse-Crêpe Breton was almost empty when we walked in on a late afternoon looking for some sweets. It was a hot and humid summer day and it was just so hot and stuffy sitting in the kitchen area of the restaurant. So try to request the more Air Conditioned section next time when they tried to sit you. We shared: Chestnut Cream($ 5.25) Apple & Swiss Cheese($ 6.95) I did not know what to expect. I do like the crispy crepes as it did not turn soggy while I was eating them. I was surprised that I enjoyed Apple with Swiss Cheese filling. Price is reasonable and portion is good for 2 people to share as a dessert. Good location right in the tourist area. I guess I was here as a tourist…

Tourist trap. Tourist trap. Tourist trap. Always a line outside. When you do get in, expect to wait at least another 10 – 15 min. before they come to your table to take your order then expect another 15 – 20 min. before your food arrives. And when your food arrives, you realize that it’s not that special than what you could get anywhere else. People come here thinking Quebec City is another Paris with delicious crepes. It is not. These are just average crepes with extremely slow service. And they don’t accept American Express. Unless you’ve never had crepes, avoid this place. And even then…

Everything about Le Casse-Crêpe Breton gets a 5-star. While trying the local foods, we found this place. People were waiting in line and we had to wait for good 20 minutes before we went inside but it was worth it and we went back very next day. Crepes are delicious and you can customize them the way you like. Service is quick and very good, you feel welcome. In two visits, I tried crepes with Turkey, egg, & some veggies, & with fresh strawberries/bananas & whipped cream, needless to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the food each time with the cappuccino. Now that’s the place where you go back, loved it.

I’ve eaten at restaurants all around the world, but it took a trip to Quebec City to experience the worst service of my life. I just can’t explain how absolutely terrible the service was from the minute we sat down. I was willing to not get up and walk out by the prospect of a good crêpe, however the crêpe that showed up on my plate was thoroughly average. What a freaking disappointment.

In old Quebec, everyone will tell you that this is the place for crêpe. I expected it to be all touristy and crowded and expensive and it wasn’t any of those things. We went at 2pm on a wednesday for lunch. We sat in the table by the window tucked away on the left. I had turkey and swiss and mushroom(which were fresh). The crêpe was piping hot and stuffed full. I couldn’t eat the whole thing. My husband had ham and cheese and spinach(which was not fresh) with bechamel. He said that the bechamel made it taste like creamed spinach, which fortunately he likes. It would be much better if they used fresh baby spinach leaves. After our lunch crepes we shared a marron dessert crêpe. It was wonderful.

Not impressed with my crêpe. Not that I’m asking for a lot– apple pie filling was bland– no taste. No excitement. No cinnamon. Nada. Presentation wise it was disappointing. My tea was delightful. To be fair– my friends crêpe was filling and visually appealing. See pic. Won’t be back!

I love this place! The crepes are fantastic – they are made fresh and the filling is great. I have had the bacon, mushroom and asparagus and another time I had the turkey, bacon, and spinach. They serve the crêpe with a salad and mustard dressing(I love it and wish I had the recipe). The wines are good and reasonable(especially the half litre). At lunch, they do a lunch special that includes fresh juice and salad or crêpe and a bowl of coffee. The waitresses are nice and they leave you alone to take your time. Also, the ambiance is cute and cozy– like a creperie in France!
