Overall fantastic. Breaded mushrooms were not whole mushrooms as you’d expect, but delicious nonetheless. The batter on the mushrooms and fish was fresh and light, and the frying oil was very clean. Service was quick and fantastic. We will definitely be returning.

Looked forward to the old days in Toronto of Duckworth’s. Same food after so many years. Kitchen stinks like sewer and old grease and unfortunately there was a swarm of people so waiting was unavoidable on Saturday night. Pricing is better than most fish and chip shops, not a lot of selection on drinks beyond simple cans of pop and water. Worth the stop if you can avoid the wait in kitchen/waiting area. Parking is tough on site, side street offers options.

Found this place by chance when we realized we had passed Orilia. Everything on the menu is deep fried but the salad. It is a typical fish and chips resteraunt. Had the Pickerel and it was good, the waitress recommended the Caesar salad, it was basic but the dressing was good. My only issue was the smell when you enter, for some reason it smells like sewer. Once you are in the dining area the smell goes away. I

I’ve been eating Duckworth’s fish and chips since I was a kid riding my bike to the park. This is the same great flavour as was served on Danforth in Toronto’s east end
