I stayed at the Sheraton Red Deer for a conference and had a great experience. If you read my reviews, it’s no secret that I’m a big Sheraton fan(I even have the bedding at home), but the service during the conference blew me away. As a person who organizes and attends a lot of conferences, I can say with confidence that the food was phenomenal! At all the difference conference events the bartenders and serving staff were friendly and accommodating. They were great with my dietary needs. The buffet was just off our plenary room which was really handy, and in general things were set up really well. I did have a meal in the lounge the first night and it was really good. The have a little«fairmont-esque» shopping area with a café and a hair salon and a clothing store which is pretty cute. There’s also a Country-style bar right next to the hotel for those who are interested in extending their evening. The only reason there isn’t a 5 star rating from me is because when I was organizing a panel, the hotel’s tech guy was supposed to turn on the projectors, but left and didn’t come back. One of the panelists had to do it– embarrassing!

The room was very nice. Pleasantly surprised. The staff was ok, I felt like they were not overly friendly or accommodating. They are also very serious and strict. I was here for a conference and I felt like we were constantly getting in trouble for having too much fun. Seemed surprising seeing as it’s next door to two nightclubs that play loud ass music all night.

Staying at the hotel for conference. The guest room I stayed in with 2 beds is extremely comfortable and spacious. The bed, bedding and linens are amazing. The hotel has an amazing catering team and the food is very well done. Good job Sheraton Red Deer!

I didn’t stay overnight at this hotel but I did attend for a conference. When you walk into the hotel, the front desk is to the right. The staff at the time didn’t seem very friendly and approachable but if when I asked for information, I was provided with direction. I walked to the left of the door and there were a number of stores and services including a hair salon, women’s clothing store, and a deli. The conference rooms are large and spacious. There was a large screen to accommodate PowerPoint presentation and a speaker’s podium. Because the room is large, it can make it difficult for the speaker to connect with the audience. As with most conferences, they always want to feed you. I had a cookie for an afternoon snack and saw a variety of sweets and squares. They had coolers to help yourself to water or a pop. This Sheraton looks like a clean and classy hotel and if I needed a hotel in Red Deer, I would like to stay here.
