We ordered some drinks and some wings… The wings salt & pepper were OK, the lemon dill were very good. After completing this, split between 2, we wanted to place our order. Since it was Wednesday, Pasta Night, we decided to order Pasta with the Salad. We order a Caesar and a House Salad. We asked about the Seafood Fettuccini, which says it has shrimps, salad, crab and lobster. We specifically asked if this was real lobster and crab which we were assured it was. The salads came, Caesar was good, but the House was not as described but ok. Before we could finish our sale they were at the table with the Fettuccini. The Fettuccini was a very large portion and within seconds it was clear that the shrimps were a good size and what one would expect, the scallops were the very small ones, also expected, but the crab and lobster looked and tasted like flavored Pollack… a white fish used to imitate crab, lobster, etc. If I ever go back I would stay clear of the Pasta, especially this dish.

This place is an awesome spot to get a drink and some food. Honestly I had no complaints. Excellent and friendly service. Many places to sit. I ordered a steak sandwich and it was perfectly cooked. Their fries are awesome. I’ll definitely be back!

Service was EXCELLENT! Food was hot and DELISH! Only thing I can say is our entrees came out right after we got our appetizers. I like taking my time and having my appetizers with my beer, then my main course can come out(and hopefully still be hot). Also a bit prisey for a pub/restaurant.

I have been going to the hideout anytime I see a movie at galaxy cinemas, which is at least once every two weeks, I love the food there. I went in today(November 1st2015) at around 7 p.m. and got a cheese pizza with fish and chips, the pizza was really good, the crust wasn’t doughy but it was by no means under cooked, in a post by Cam G. I believe he said the pizza«is the size of his hand» which I find very hard to believe, unless his hands are 13 inches long and 13 inches wide, the fish and chips were also delicious, the fish tasted fresh and the fries were heaven! there was only one waitress working and she was really awesome and friendly, I will definitely continue to go here

To all visitors to Red Deer I have been here for two weeks now and feel confidant enough to make an entry. The staff is friendly and good. The food is 90’s fare and way overpriced, but that seems to be the norm here. Dont get the pizza. Its the size of my hand and $ 16. A complete rip off. Not even very good. Ordered a Chicken and Broccoli pasta tonight but received chicken and shrimp. Didn’t notice until i bit into a prawn. Thank god Im not allergic. I was just very disappointed because nobody murmured an apology or even comp’d a beer. Disappointed.

Great spot to hang out. The owner seems to be always here. The Nacho’s are the best. I don’t think I have ever had better. Very good staff.

Solid meal as always. The girls are always helpful and friendly. Had the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese sandwich, it was cheesy gooey goodness with the right amount of tang from the pork.

Great place to come for a bite to eat and/or drinks before or after a movie. I usually come for drinks before a movie which is right across the street.

I thought I should write an actual review now that I’ve checked in a few times. :) Oh, FYI ladies, if you can get a group of 4 or more together, you save 10% off your bill. I saw a poster on my way out of the ladies’ room that said so.(I’m always there alone and don’t think I could find three other friends to go with me, but that’s besides the point. DOIT!) I have never attended a live show here, but maybe I’ll have to aspire to do that one of these days. The food here is delicious. I have not been disappointed once! It’s always fresh, reasonably priced, and also served in reasonable time. I try something new each time. When I went today, I had the Butter Chicken Poutine. I was warned that although it’s on the appetizer menu, it’s huge. She was right. I ate a bit more than half of it and that filled me up. It does say the appetizers are meant to be shared. The service here is good, too. I never had to wait too long to get a menu and a beer. The wait staff are friendly and seem to know the menu well. They have no problems checking on anything they aren’t 100% sure about.(I KNOW I asked them about soy in something during a past visit and it was no problem at all to find out.) I always check in when I go to The Hideout because they do have free WiFi.(Places that don’t have WiFi for free generally don’t get a check-in from me because I refuse to use my personal data for it. Besides, if someone is buying a meal, does it really cost that much to provide WiFi? I can’t imagine it does. Besides, it’s a selling point.) I’ve got to say that even the first time I walked into the place, I felt right at home. I didn’t ever feel awkward for being there alone or for just stopping by on the way through. The washrooms are easy to find, which is convenient. The place has a very inclusive vibe and I look forward to stopping in whenever I’m nearby.

So THIS is where all the 20&30 something people are hiding! The atmosphere was young & fresh. The food was delicious! I LOVE coconut encrusted shrimp & have had a hard time finding it anywhere outside of NYC that tasted like it was encrusted with COCONUT. The Hideout’s was absolutely scrumptious! I can’t wait to go back for more! My friend loves their steak sandwich. It wasn’t what I expected. The bread was a slice of Texas toast set on the side, & the nice sized steak set apart. That way the bread doesn’t get soggy. She swears it’s the best steak sandwich in town. I can’t wait to go back to try other dishes!

The Hideout is a great pub featuring various live music shows. I went to the Hideout to check out a live show they were hosting for Good For Grapes. Upon arrival the place was pretty quiet with a few tables eating food and talking amongst each other. I had the fish and chips and quite enjoyed them. My friend had a salad and she also enjoyed her meal. Once the show started, the place got really loud and the band put on a great show. I was definitely disappointed in the small crowd that turned out but everyone in the audience thoroughly enjoyed the show. The staff were all very nice and provided good service. The food is a little more expensive than I would have expected, but they offered many different food options. I’ll definitely be going back here in the future to check out some more shows.
