I used to frequent this shop back years ago when it was located on bayview north of hwy 7 and followed them loyally to the newer location. Back then I’d rate this a solid 5* but after today the customer service has bombed. I brought a suit to get dry cleaned and 3 pairs of jeans to get altered, spoke to the owner who tagged and wrote up the bill. We both laughed at the ugly attempt my MIL did on hemming the 3 pairs of jeans, it was worse than grade school home ec. He knew to fix those horrible mismatched hem lines and replace ONE broken zipper, which he marks by cutting it mid length so whoever works on it can see it’s clearly damaged and that’s the one that needs a replacement. 3 days pass and I come back to pick up the order, to my surprise he ended up snipping the zipper on a perfect pair and left the broken one undone(still clearly cut and unzippable) Also didn’t fix the hemming nightmare on two of three pairs of jeans… WHAT just happened here?! This was very sloppy and hugely disappointed. And here he was, trying to get payment from me as I noticed all this. Lucky I did check this over before paying/leaving. He fussed excuses on the mistakes and finally in the end, he grudgingly agreed to pay for the wrong zipper fix($ 7) and re-do(actually do this time) the three things missed and did not offer anything for the mistakes, hassle, frustration and delay. The 2 generous stars are for being quick, decently priced and able to get many alterations done here, decent hours.
