David Watches and Clocks Services

David doesn’t know how to work with automatic watches, period.
Brought my watch to replace the crown — open the case, take out crown & winder, put new crown on old winder, put winder back in, close case. Not very complicated for someone who confidently declared he can service this same watch.
However, I can no longer manually wind with the crown, and pulling the crown out to adjust date no longer stops the watch. I mentioned these issues on the phone to David later that day, and asked to bring it in today to correct his mistake — he said fine.
After coming in today and repeating my issues, he insisted that nothing was wrong and that these were both normal. His rationale was that «you shouldn’t wind it manually anyways, the watch already winds automatically».
After some more arguing, I decided to just leave — David doesn’t acknowledge his mistakes, and I’d be better off going to a competent watchsmith anyways.

Brought an automatic watch here for service– it keeps worse time now than it did before the service! Even worse, there is now moisture inside the watch, and it fogs up in cold weather — so about half the year in Canada!
Brought it back, was told it was all fixed and sealed properly, only to have moisture appear again the next time the watch was worn outside.
When I called to mention it, David is now not willing to look at it again, and fix it properly. What an epic waste of time, money, and effort.
If you need a watch serviced, go elsewhere. Literally, anywhere else but this place.
