I gave them 5 stars because I respect Kris’ profession. The first time I looked for her after my old hairdresser did horrible job for my hair that she cut too many layers. Kris looked at my hair and politely told me that she could not do much for my hair as the hair on my top of scalp was too short. She advised me to come back after my hair length of my top scalp pass my chin. I love her honesty as most of the hairdressers would just do random cut and make the money. After several months I went back to her. She did a good trim for hair. I requested to have hair treatment because I have not had treatment for more than 5 yrs. She said I do not need hair treatment for my hair condition. Highly recommended

That was my worst haircut ever. I called and made an appointment since it was about an hour to close the store. There was only one person in the store and after washing my hair which was not needed she started cutting my hair. I asked her to make my sides and back short snd leave one inch on the top. Because I removed my glasses I couldn’t see what she is doing but she started using the shaver although I never asked her. It was a nightmare when I wore my glasses at the end and saw myself in the mirror. Some parts of my head have been shaved and other parts were still long. I asked her what is this and she said she needs to cut more hair to make it smooth. I didn’t have any other choices so she started cutting more hair and at the end I ended up with a shaved head. And then $ 25 for shaving your head!!!

I communicated my desires via email ahead of time. Claudia, on meeting me, helped me to refine what I wanted done and select hair color etc. She was able to give pretty sound advice and set my expectations in terms of the final product. I appreciated the time spent communicating.
The salon is comfortable. As a busy mom this was forced relaxation time. My hair cut/​style was fantastic and everyone since has been complimenting me on my color choice (thanks to Claudia!). The color has also not faded and it has been at least a month since I dyed my hair. I will definitely be back.

I came in at 10am this morning and I have to say the experience and result was great! The usual shampoo person wasn’t in so Claudia did it herself. The process was efficient, yet super relaxing.
For the haircut itself, Claudia spent a lot of time making sure the length and style was right, asking a lot of questions along the way. She ended the session with a round brush blow dry and style with a curling iron. I love getting my hair pampered so that was super fun!
Everything took about an hour and was $ 38 for wash, cut and style, not including tips. Nice ambience all around and I’ll definitely be back!

I decided to give K2 a try because of the reviews. Also, it’s close by to my house. I called the number here on Unilocal and found out it was the owner’s phone, Chris. (SORRY!). The salon’s number is on their website.
Upon arrival, I was 20 minutes early, but I guess since it was boxing day weekend and during the evening, it wasn’t that busy. There was about 2 people getting their hair done. Anyway, the assistant took my jacket and gave me a robe to put on. She then brought me to the hair wash station to wash my hair. The hair wash was amazing! I really wanted to fall asleep while I was getting my head massaged lol. Right after the wash, before I went to the chair to begin the cutting process, the assistant places a warm towel around my neck which was nice. After that, I was led to the chair and met with Claudia. I showed her pictures of how I wanted my hair to look like. She was very thorough and confirmed the length with me. It was great how she actually showed me how much she would cut, rather than saying how many inches. My hair is really dry due to multiple bleaching in the past and dyes, so the hair cut really helped. At the end, Claudia mentioned my hair still is a little dry and gave me recommendations on how to treat my hair at home (I’ve honestly tried multiple things that never seemed to work), but I listened to her advice and lately it’s been great these past couple days! She also blow dried my hair at the end with lots of volume and waves, which turned out really really nice!
The total came up to $ 32, which I’m really happy about with the price. I would’ve thought because of how dry and thick my hair is, I would be charged more, like some places do.
Only complaint which is why I gave them a 4 rather than a 5, it was a little cold in the salon. My cousin who was waiting for me said she was freezing… maybe because she was close to the door? But I was fairly cold as well. Other than that, I recommend this place! Definitely will be coming back here. Possibly thinking of doing a perm… but I’m not sure on how my hair will handle it just yet.

I’ve been going to K2 Hair Creation for the past 3 years, and I just keep coming back! Chris is an AMAZING hair stylist. What I really like about her is, she gives professional and honest advices. She doesn’t try to up sell you, and she would tell you what she thinks and explain her work in details. Bonus is, she always teaches me how to style or maintain my hair at home. I think they deserve more than 5 stars, and I should have written this review long ago.

After reviewing various salons in the area, I decided to give K2 a try. I called them in the morning and booked an appointment for an hour later. Chris, who I later found out was the owner, said it would be no problem. She was pleasant on the phone and spoke English!
I arrived at my appointment time of 1130am and was taken in by Claudia. She advised she would be cutting my hair today. She was pleasant and spoke English too! Bonus!!! I could actually communicate with her too! (Just an FYI, she also speaks Cantonese and Mandarin if you prefer.)
I showed her a couple of pictures of what style and length I wanted. She said she could it it. She then took my coat, gave me a robe to put on, hung up my coat, and proceeded to lead me to the back to wash my hair. She explained that normally an assistant does the hair washing but since they were busy today, she would be doing it.
She gives a great hair wash! She washed it twice with shampoo and once with conditioner, all the while, massaging my head. At the end of it she put a warm towel under my neck and along my hairline around my forehead and ears and massaged it, which felt like heaven. I could feel the tension melting away. Afterwards I was led to her chair. Claudia did what I asked, cut it in a «V/​U» shaped cut, double checked the length was what I wanted, asked key questions like how do I normally part my hair, gave suggestions to questions I asked to keep my hair healthy and deal with frizz and was honest about it. At the end she made sure I was happy with the cut before leading me to the front to get my coat.
The price was $ 32 for a was, cut and style, which is a pretty good deal. Overall the experience was enjoyable. I will be coming back again.

If Maya and Sora hair salon had a baby it would produce this place. The price is about $ 32 for a female cut and they accept cash only. I love its convenient location and the English speaking staff.
I walked in with no appointment at around noon on a Friday and there was no other customers. Being the only customer there, I was greeted by the stylist who promptly sat me down in a chair. After a brief consultation and communicating what I wanted, I was brought to the washing station. The hair wash was nice and thorough. It was the standard 2 shampoo, 1 conditioner and brief scalp massage.
The cut was… satisfactory. It was a half wet and half dry cut. I asked for freshened layers and a trim — which was precisely what I got. Although some of the layers came out a bit choppy, I was satisfied with the overall result. What I love about my stylist was that he asked questions and tailored my haircut to my routines. For example he knew that I didn’t use rollers and only blew dry my hair, so he recommended that I didn’t thin out my hair too much. He also made recommendations that framed my face better and constantly asked me if I was OK with the length, etc.
I’ve learned to judge salons based on skill and effort. The skill was definitely there. My stylist was knowledgeable and his cuts were mostly precise. Effort was also there. He kept making finishing touches until he was satisfied with his work.
All in all, yes I would recommend this place to my friends and will probably be coming back.

Came first thing in the morning, 10am. Not a lot of customers, maybe 2 – 3 for the hour and half i was there. Came here to get a streak of red in my hair and I was really impressed with the service! I go to a different salon every time i do my hair because I can never find one i like but I think this is a good find!
Took an hour and a half (40mins to wait for colour to set), then shampoo then style. $ 20 for the colour and $ 15 for shampoo. I didn’t expect the extra $ 15 as I called for the price beforehand, but I appreciated that the hairdressers were really considerate, understanding. I felt pampered!
When I walked in, they took my coat to hang, which never happens in other salons i go to. When i explained to the hairdresser, William, how i wanted my hair, he understood quickly what I wanted and I like how he gives his own opinion because that really helps my decisions. When I was waiting as the colour to set, I flipped through some magazines, which were chinese. I don’t read chinese so i just looked at the pictures. William noticed and offered me some english ones. When time was up, he washed my hair 3 times, which took a good 10−15mins, which explains the $ 15 lol. Shampoo and water was cold at first though. After washing, my hair was blow dried. I never had two hairdressers blow dry my hair before! William then asked how I wanted my hair styled (which hairdressers usually never ask, they just blow dry and that’s it, or they style however they want), and then straightened and combed accordingly. He asked if I liked the colour and if it was how I wanted it, which it was. Before leaving, they took my coat and even put it on for me! I tipped them $ 5,they have a nice clear blue plastic business card too.
Overall, I am really impressed with service and I like how they are caring and responsive for feedback. I’ll keep looking for salons with a cheaper cut than $ 30, but I’ll keep this place in mind! Happy new year!

First time I went I had a very good experience. There was a young guy with glasses who took his time to cut my hair even though I just wanted a trim. He really listened to the way I wanted my hair since I didn’t want to cut off any length.
Second time I went I got my hair coloured, it was okay, but the women who cut my hair made my layers VERY CHOPPY, she layered only the top half but left the bottom half long which was looked very weird!
Third time I went and it was a disaster, the same women coloured my hair and it turned orange! When I said I wanted to match my old colour she said it was possible but then said it wasn’t possible and got very impatient when I was trying to describe how i wanted the colour. I also said I only wanted a trim and to take off about half an inch when she ended up taking about 3 inches off. All the other employees were very friendly. Won’t be going back there.

Found out one of my old hair stylist actually opened up their own place
Worth going for sure, she explains steps for you if you have any questions to how to style, blow dry, or what not

I came here based off the Unilocal reviews & now I realize the reviews are based off one individual. Lucky for me that individual did not cut my hair. I ended up quite disappointed when I went for a bang fix, no trim or cut but, bang FIX. As I tried fixing them myself, it failed & looked too choppy. I repeatedly told the lady in great detail what I wanted & she just listened then just did whatever she wanted. I specifically said NOT to remove ANY length & she took at least an inch off my front bangs, leaving them short, thin & stupid looking. I highly suggested she didn’t do that because I didn’t want really short bangs above my eyebrows, since I have long thick hair. Probably one of the worse experiences ever, because now I have to wait 3 weeks & go somewhere else for proper bangs. Oh & the worst part — THEY CHARGED ME $ 5!!! Most places don’t even charge for touch up bangs, especially bad bangs. I came in there with a better hair cut then the one I left with. Not impressed at all, won’t be coming back.

After finding K2 on
and reading all the reviews, I decided to give K2 a try. I had some problems and concerns with my hair — all of my concerns were addressed and questions answered very patiently by Kris. She went over the cut with me, discussed hair care in detail, and I had a very pleasant experience. The staff were all very courteous, enjoyed a great shampoo and a massage and then a relaxing hair cut. Also it was cheaper than I expected.
I will definitely go back and make this my permanent hair care place. Recommend it to everyone!

End-​up getting a hair cut, at first I thought the guy asked me how I want my hair cutted was just to get me prepared for the haircut.
Turns out he is the one cutting my hair, never had the same person who wash my hair that also wash my hair…
(even at those $ 10 quick cut place, they have someone else to wash and the hair stylist wouldn’t do any of that)
It was fast (about 30 min or less?)
the whole time I keep getting hit by the comb he uses.
and near the end he actually dropped his comb…
(never had that happen in any other place, and I’m glad that it’s not his scissors.)
took a closer look after lunch and later at home, the cut was pretty amateur (don’t wanna use un-​professional, as it’s not even close to being professional.)
a part of my hair right above my forehead was extremely short, while everything around it was at least 1″ longer. it’s weird…
(no wonder people keep staring at me, it’s not just my face, but my hair!!)
didn’t give me a tissue or remind me there are bunch of hair on my face.
was really interested about the squid ink hair color treatment, but I guess other place will have it eventually…
may be I should ask for Kris (as mentioned in other review?), oh well, my next hair cut will be in two months…(yeah, it’s THAT short.)

I went to K2 for a hair cut over the weekend and they did a great job. Their service was fantastic and I like my new hair cut. The head massage was awesome, not too many places do it so good. Kris was the one who cut my hair and she analysis my hair and the hair style I like before cutting. She was very concentration and pay attention to details. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and my hair cut and will return for my next hair cut.

Today is my first time getting a haircut here. I usually stick to my old hair stylist most of the time but he is away while I am dying for a hair cut so here I am suggested by a friend of mine. The experience was incredible. Kris, the hair stylist provides friendly customer service, with detailed explanation and suggestions throughout the cut. The head massage by Karen was awesome, especially the hot towel part really sue tiredness. I walked out of the hair salon with satisfaction, and happy mood! Give K2 Hair Creation a try if you are like me hesitating to go to a new salon. They really gives you a good experience :) I will come back for another hair cut. Thanks Karen and Kris!

Found this place on Unilocal app. They had a Check-​in Offer for a free hair cut, so I gave it a try.
Being a free hair cut, I did not have any expectations, but wow, I was amazed by the friendly service and the amount of attention I was given.
Kris, who was cutting my hair was speedy but very precise. Some stylists could spend enormous amount of time on your hair but did nothing to flatter it. Kris’s technique was quick but with distinctive results. I was very happy with my hair cut. :)
Kris is a talented individual and I recommend anyone to give her a try.
I will definitely go back in the near future!

I was in this plaza searching for nearby hair salons and came across this new salon on Unilocal so I decided to give it a try.
Service was very friendly and attentive. I loved the scalp massage during the shampoo as well as the green tea they served while I was waiting for my cut. The stylist made sure to give me what I wanted but made further suggestions according to my hair type and face shape.
I was pretty pleased with everything overall and will be sure to return.

Recently opened hair salon, located within the plaza on West Beaver Creek.
First time getting a haircut here today and had a pleasant experience. Friendly customer service. Kris took great attention and detail when she was cutting my hair, ensuring it was the way I wanted it. She also explained how she adjusted the cut in reference to the shape of my head, which shows how much care she puts into each cut.
The head massage at the end of the cut was also very relaxing and soothing.
Give K2 Hair Creation a try and you won’t be disappointed. Will be back for another cut.
