Great bar great time. Service is good and it is very lively Thursday nights. The only problem is they are kind of hostile towards Australians, once they see you are not trying to cause any trouble they are okay with you mate! Billiards tables are nice but theres a few blokes that are always there trying to hustle people, i recommend only playing against your mates that you know well, or you will get hustled. Service is good and waitresses are fairly personable.

Gord and I had supper at the Falcon and Firkin this evening. Gord and I both ordered a pound of wings each. He got his plain and I got mine with honey garlic sauce. Gord said his wings were excellent. He meets his friends a couple times a month at the Goose(another Firkin) and they are consistent. My honey garlic wings were good. Gord also ordered Mac & Cheese … a small order was on special for $ 7. He enjoyed it and would get it with bacon next time. I ordered Three Little Yorkies. They were tasty but could have been hotter.

Went to the Firkin for St Patrick’s day and it was awesome. Great music and service was good despite it being super busy. They have 2 pool tables, a jitz table and a dart board. Made for a great night with my friends! Would recommend this place for sure.

Great place — best bar in Richmond Hill by far! Head here alot and it’s always a good time! Is a party and a half on Friday/Saturday nights! All the staff are super fun, really helpful willing to explain specials and what’s on draught(numerous times when we don’t listen lol) and they are always suggesting shots and drink ideas which is great! the English bartender and security are always super nice to us!!! Thanks for the great times firkin: D

One word. «Meh!» This place isn’t really a popping place to be. It looks pretty sad. Staff looks pretty depressed in my opinion. WTF, anyone know how to greet anymore with a smiling face. I feel like this place is for lonely people with sad life. I came to see if we can have a fun night. But wow!!! Not exactly a place I would ever come to again. But I must say the in house beer«Butler» is pretty good. That’s about it. Once again. This place is sad.

This is nice place to go for a beer. Food is good, no complains at all. Visiting this place sometimes. Patio is pretty good in the summer time. Prices are good as well. Bartenders are also nice people to talk to.

Hmmm… Just a regular pub… Very busy on Friday night. We just had some drinks there so I am not sure how food is there…

Terrible service! Waitress did not want to take our order for a long time. Food is average. One of the worst pub experience for me!

I’ll always remember my first time here, sadly my night here with some friends turned into a disastrous event and I’ll always remember where I was for«The Collapse.» It was the 2013NHL playoffs, first round, Toronto vs. Boston in the decisive game seven. Our beloved leafs had fought back from being down in the series 3 – 1 to force a game 7. Entering the third period there was pure jubilation in this classic, spacious pub just off Yonge St. The room in the back with the big screen was buzzing, the Leafs had gone ahead 4 – 1 with not much time left, and surely they wouldn’t blow this. Then it happened 3 goals in the span of 11 minutes and a subsequent goal in overtime marked the single worst collapse in NHL playoff history. Luckily the bar has a decent selection of beers to help me drown my sorrows. The food is classic pub fare and although the chicken sandwich on naan was nice and juicy it was not the type of comfort food I needed to soften the gut punch just served to me and my friends. All in all this is a pretty decent pub, lots of TV’s to watch sporting events, nightly food and drink specials and plenty of space to do some drinking with your friends. The menu is traditional pub fare with a few Indian classics. It is right off Yonge Street meaning you can get home easily with the Viva if you feel like partying in the burbs. Sadly I don’t think I can return any time soon, my mental state is too fragile from that epic loss to attempt to return to the scene of the crime. Time heals all wounds I suppose so I may be back in the VERY distant future. *66 years and counting FML

The Falcon and Firkin is a decent neighbourhood local pub if you want to just chill with your friends and watch a game. Nothing too fancy but is spacious enough so it never feel too crowded even on busy nights. The beer selection is decent more than the usual Canadian or Coors Light. I never try the food aside from carrots and celery and fries but seems like they are standard overpriced pub food. There are also daily specials: $ 13 Pitcher, 65 cents Wings, $ 4.75 domestic pints. I will always remember this pub as where I watched Leafs lost to Boston 7th game 1st round playoffs which will probably go down as the worst breakdown in the NHL playoff history… The backroom has a huge TV which is good for groups. Parking can be pretty tight! Seriously tight as the parking lot is so small and people are parking their cars all over the place. But the free municipal parking is just a few minute walk away.

I’m actually a little surprised that this place isn’t doing better than it is ont he review rating scale. I mean come on folks, what do you expect from this local Richmond Hill chain-dive bar? Lets run through the checklist of points: — Dive bar Grunge factor(dimly lit, musky smell, rickety tables and chairs) +0.5 — Extensive on tap selection which exceeds most dive bars +1.0 — Fooseball, darts, pool tables +1.0 — Patio(HUGE for a downtown R. hill spot) +1.0 — Close to home for me +0.5 — loses 1.0 for being damn cold last night So that is all I have to say about that. But what about the little extras? Oh you mean like: SATURDAYS — $ 4.00 Bar Rail(tax incl.); we also show all UFC Pay Per View Fights! SUNDAYS — Video Karaōke and $ 4.75 Domestic Pints special(tax incl.) MONDAYS — Take Me to the River Poker; $ 4.75 Domestic Pints special(tax incl.) TUESDAYS — 69 cent wings, $ 5.50 Moosehead and $ 4.75 Domestic Tall Boy Special(tax incl.) WEDNESDAYS — Live Music, 69 cent wings and $ 13 Domestic Ptichers(tax incl.) THURSDAYS — Live Video DJ and $ 4.00 Domestic Bottles(tax incl.) I was here last night to get locally drunk(long day at the office) and best of all, I could take pubic transportation home form here. #winning !

Can’t say much about the food compared to other Firkins we’ve been to. What I can say is that this is the first Firkin we’ve been treated negatively at. Maybe we should have done what«Fabienne» did but we shouldn’t have to. We walked in the door, there were maybe 6 other patrons in the bar area so, not busy, waited for both staff at the bar to at least look our way and greet us… that didn’t happen — not like they didn’t see or hear us coming in less than 5 feet from the door. Waited some more… continued to be ignored and that creepy ‘you’re not welcome’ feeling got stronger by the minute. We walked out. Since our move to this area 2 weeks previous, this was the first place where we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I’ll even go as far as to say probably because we were clearly a gay couple.

Been coming here as my main R. Hill watering hole since coming of age. I found that it is a great place to come if you’re a town staff member especially in the summer months where it is a frequent spot to find most of the staff spending their unwinding time after work. they have a fairly good selection of brews on tap and the prices are reasonable. I can’t say that their cocktails are anything special so don’t come here with any misconceptions about what their strong points are. I have never ordered food here, but seeing what my friends have gotten I’d say its the basic pub fare and benefits from the very dim lighting that this pub employs. Wait staff can get overwhelmed on heavy nights so expect long wait times for food if you hit their busy hours.

It’s a really local kinda bar, where the waitress knows everyone, and everyone’s a regular. After 5 whole minutes of confusion waiting to be seated, we sat ourselves down at a booth near the bar. It was really dim-, sorry no, there was no light. We thought about leaving as nobody came to serve us but just as we were about to put our coats back on, the waitress came with laminated plastic menus. We could barely read because of the lack of lighting, but I ordered the Fish and Chips. None of us ladies ordered beer, but my friend got a martini, which came in a large portion but alas, no fancy small sippy straw. My other friend ordered a Cesar, which she didn’t gush nor complain about so I’m assuming it was ok. After 20 minutes, the food finally came. The food wasn’t piping hot, off the stove, but it was decent, good enough to eat. pros — fish had a good amount of crispy batter — relatively fresh served — Curried fries were awesome — the curry was really aromatic(surprising for a local old Richmond Hill pub) — THESEATSWERESOSOFT cons — a bit too dim for an enjoyable atmospheric effect — service takes forever(it wasn’t a really busy night, so only 2 servers were working. nonetheless they were occupied) With all the other options along old Richmond Hill«downtown», I don’t know if I’d come here again — maybe on a rowdier night, but nothing is particularly enticing about this place.

Recommended for quick, comforting, and tasty pub food. Makes a great lunch or dinner while having a pint.
