Vaughan-Richmond Hill Veterinary Emergency Clinic

Like others, we brought in our cat and this was the only emergency clinic I could find online open at 11pm on a Tuesday night.
Dr. Greenstein was on staff that night, and she was probably the best vet that I’ve ever visited. She and her staff made our cat as comfortable as possible, and explained what was very likely happening to him. She explained all the options that we could do for our cat, but given his age and history of medical issues (hyperthyroidism amongst others, since we got him as a senior cat), we decided it was time to let him go. She also took the time out to explain everything again when my sister came up from downtown, which is amazing.
The clinic itself is extremely clean, and has a very comfortable feel, like a higher end spa. There was no smell of illness like at other places and actually had a lemony/​rosemary scent in the air.
Their prices were very reasonable, and please note that you do pay an extra fee for the late hours. Although we would all like to do and spend whatever we can for our pets, realistically speaking, we can only do what we can. Although this is a bit more expensive than the regular vet I visit, I will definitely be bringing my other pets here, because they made this difficult time pass much easier with their compassion and professionalism.

Unfortunately, the only time I visited this clinic was when my elderly dog went into distress and it was the only place open late on a Tuesday evening.
The staff on duty that evening were incredible. They realized my dog was very ill and took great measures to relieve his pain as well as preparing me for the inevitable.
The vet working this particular evening was compassionate and went out of her way to explain my pet’s deteriorating condition and the options I had at my disposal. She was a godsend during a difficult time.
When I returned a week and a half later to retrieve my pet’s ashes, the staff remembered who I was and provided heartfelt condolences.
They made a very stressful time for myself and partner a little more bearable.
