A bit of a drive out from Toronto, but I needed a clearance check right away. The price is more steep as compared to Toronto, but you will receive it in less than 10 minutes.
REMEMBER 2 PIECES GOVERNMENT ISSUED I.D.
I had to make the trip twice because I only had a drivers license and forgot my birth certificate at home.
The website apparently states other forms accepted.
Staff were also nice about me bringing my little dog along because I wouldn’t want to leave him in the car.

I guess it is less intimating for York Regional Police to set up their Community Resource Centre at Hillcrest Mall then at one of their Police Station.
CRC here serves as a Motor Vehicle Collisions Report Centre plus you can get advice on police-​related matters and other document services such as volunteer clearance letters.
I was trying to make a police report because my passenger’s side back window got smashed. The police on duty was really helpful and listened to me trying to explain to him what happened. as I was really upset. and it took me awhile to calm down… and ended up I was at the wrong place… since it is Not a collision. so I need to go to a Police Station to make a report!
So I was given all the information and direction… and off I go…
BTW, I can also report the incident online instead of driving to a station… oh now I know!
