1010 Tires

I ordered a pair of tires. I received the wrong tires a week and a half later than indicated when I ordered the tires. So I called customer service. The person who handles returns, Jason, was very rude and not helpful. I contacted the company via email and the ONLY person who was at all helpful was Lisa. She was very professional and tried to resolve the matter. She told me Roman, the head of the company would be kind and professional as well. I was told he would call me. This did not happen. I was given his personal phone number apparently and called to finally resolve the issue. He answered with more contempt and condescension than Jason. He flat out told me to resell the tires on ebay, instead of helping me out. Now I know why this company has such horrible customer service. Their only saving grace is Lisa. So in summary, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I believe in family-​run businesses, but not at the expense of customer service. This company put a cloud over my holiday season, I didn’t receive the tires I needed for the bad weather and was treated like I didn’t matter. I’m not a mean/​rude person and believe all this was undeserved.

I was about to purchase a set of Falken ZE-​950s when I was shocked to find out the price has gone up by 20% in a matter of weeks. It was $ 116.99 last time I checked online and it’s now $ 139.99 for a size 205 55R16. Not to mention this particular rubber was only released last year. So, could it be that I have a popular size and supply for it is scarce? Or did Falken increase their wholesale prices recently? Only the good people at 1010tire would know. But if it were a Falken decision, they’ve now basically destroyed their niche in the market for providing good performance at an attractive price.

After a month of my sour experience, I call up this location again just to get a quote on rotating my wheels. The guy on the phone says — «uhhh.I think it is $ 10 per corner so $ 40 bucks altogether.»
Apparently, this shop has not gotten it’s act together yet.
I called the nice folks in the Marine Drive location in Vancouver and was quoted 5 $ per corner so total of $ 20. Drove down immediately and got it done within 10 min. Great service and price on Marine Drive location.
This Richmond location should be shut down and the workers should finish high school before working in the real world.

Awesome service. I was unsure about the tire size I wanted and they actually put the different size on my rims so I could check out the look. This was before I was committed to purchasing from them at all. Then, the price was as low as I could find (even in the US.) ¹⁰⁄₁₀ service.

Had 4 tires balanced and they were torqued to way beyond the factory specification. If you have an import car which is sensitive to torque specifications, stay away from this shop unless you want to ruin your setup.
The reason for visiting the shop was on the recommendation of Road Force tire balancing system’s dealer info. Only found out after a while from getting vibrations during braking and it took brute force to loosen the bolts of each wheel (which should be torqued to a comfortable 90lb).

The folks at 1010tires and Volco do a wonderful job at basic and advanced tire repair/​maintenance. If you ever have to service your tires check these guys out. Honest and sincere service at a somewhat reasonable price.
