Ackroyd Medical Centre

Came here to get a psych referral from Dr. Wilson (who has since moved her practice away from this craphole). Dr. Wilson was very nice and easy to talk to, would definitely recommend her. HOWEVER the staff at this clinic are completely incompetent! I was told to wait for a week or so for the referral to be sent over to the Richmond Mental Health Clinic. I called the clinic 10 days later and they told me they still hadn’t received so I called the Ackroyd Clinic again to see what was going on. I was put on hold multiple times and when I finally talked to someone they dismissed me and said they would call me back later that day after the checked. No one called me back all day. The next day I called again and it took 13 calls (I wish I was exaggerating) to get someone to take me seriously and look over my file. They promised to resend the referral. I called the Mental Health Clinic a week later and they said they still hadn’t received it. I once again called to Ackroyd clinic and they had no idea what I was talking about since there was no note of a referral actually made on file.
THEY FORGOT ABOUT MY PSYCH REFERRAL AND THEN LIED TO ME ABOUT IT.
Needless to say I was appalled. I called back a few days later, at this point more than 4 weeks had passed since I actually saw the doctor, and they told me that since Dr. Wilson had moved her practice out of the clinic they no longer had my file so they couldn’t help me. I called Dr. Wilson’s new office and spoke to her receptionist (who was a very pleasant and competent person) who informed me that the Ackroyd clinic definitely still had my file. So they once again lied to me. I finally got my referral sent over from Dr. Wilson’s office.
tl; dr: Offers basic health care if you’re willing to wait for hours despite having an appointment and then the office staff will lose track of your file and then lie to you over and over again to cover their asses. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL END UP PUNCHING A BABY OUT OF FRUSTRATION.

I made an appointment at this clinic, as I am looking for a new family physician, and Dr Wilson was recommended by a friend. I tried to come here last week, but I had to leave because the wait was so long. Despite having an appointment, the doctor was over an hour and a half behind! The waiting room was absolutely packed to the rafters with waiting patients!
I made another appointment for today, purposefully booking myself as the doctor’s first appointment of the day. Again, the waiting room is packed. Crying babies everywhere.
The doctor showed up late, and the receptionist slid in another patient to see her before me. It’s been half an hour now that I’ve been sitting in a room twiddling my thumbs.
I think the problem is this place is a walk-​in clinic, and they slide in patients between appointments. Given that I had to take time off work to come here, I think this is so disrespectful. My time is valuable too, and I wish my appointment times could have been respected. I will not be back and do not recommend this clinic at all. Besides, the waiting room is dingy and smelly.
