The ambiance, décor, coffee machine, and food all look great here. My reason for leaving this review and giving low scores is that I actually walked out of this place due to the management behaviour before having a chance to try it out. I was hoping to try this place out but upon walking in I had to hear the manager scolding his worker and it made me very uncomfortable, so I left. Its extremely inappropriate for management to speak to and scold an employee like that and it can make customers extremely uncomfortable. Very unprofessional.

A wonderful and warm coffee spot year round, and you can tell that both visitors and locals enjoy the food and hospitality. The lavender latte is a treat in itself and the baked goods tastes fresh and home made. Brunch is also great, with options like waffles and a salmon eggs benny and I’m told the eggs are local and organic. Bean and Beyond is a destination unto itself anytime I’m in Steveston.

Bean and Beyond is a place that you have to try when in Steveston. Whether it’s your first time or one of the long time returning guests, you are always treated very well here. Great coffee, awesome housemade food including soups, pannini’s, quiche, and baked goods. Give this place a try!

After walking around the Steveson area, we decided to head into this cute Italian café. Although it looks small, there are plenty of tables to sit at and even a few bar stools that overlook the employees making food. I ordered the soup of the day which was beef barley($ 3.75) which came with a wedge of toasted focaccia bread. The soup was flavorful, had a small amount of beef and was bit too peppery for me. The brother ordered their breakfast panini($ 6.65) which was toasted just right and full of eggs and bacon. The cousin ordered eggs benedict($ 9.50) which looked really good might be something I have to order the next time I visit. Service was friendly and it seems like a lot of locals come here, if not for the coffee and food, then just for a chill place to read the paper.
