I’ve been here twice and the massages have been pretty good. For a cheap massage place the facility is pretty nice. My one major gripe is they tell you how much to tip. Is that OK? I feel it’s not, but it’s already so cheap so I didn’t say anything. First time I had an hour massage and they told me minimum tip is $ 10. I thought maybe it was just that receptionist in particular, but I came back a second time for 1.5 hours and another receptionist said the tip is $ 15. I’ve never experienced this before except at certain restaurants but patrons are informed of the required tip amount ahead of time. Can anyone tell me if this is actually OK?

If you expect canadian business practices do not go to big feet
If you want a cheap massage then you will be subjected to being told mid session that another masseur will take over and if you protest be prepared to have as many as three employees carrying a meeting in your room while you lie naked and while any benefit of your massage is being undone
This happened twice in different locations and because I was a walk in apparently the management do not feel any need to notify you before they start
So basically you get what you pay for which is not much courtesy or consistency just a cheap noisy massage

This big feet Richmond branch have transfer to lansdowne road, but the receptionist is very unprofessional and also a liar! I made a 8:30pm reservations with a request for a female caucasian therapist. Since the female chinese therapist talk too much, when I arrive a few minutes late, she said the caucasian therapist is gone because she couldn’t wait, but after a while, the one who arrived as my therapist is a caucasian, and for a few times ive been there, there is only 1 female caucasian. And also i see how this receptionist treat other customers– she is very rude to them. I heard that shangrila footspa is pretty good, I will going to give them a try next time, instead of this awful footspa!

I’m a fan, as far as cheap massage goes. I’ve had a few bad ones, but many good ones as well. There is a new location on Hastings, and they are actually quite good but it seems you need to book in advance at the moment.

I’m writing this review literally while I am receiving my foot massage and all I can say is that every review about this place that says they talk too much is correct. These people do not know the meaning of a quiet relaxing massage. Won’t be coming back.

Called this place to see if we could come in or if I should make an appointment. Lady that picked up did not speak English, called to another gentleman that greeted me in Mandarin/​Cantonese, I said hello then was hung up on. Called again and went through the same 2 people and eventually to a third which kinda spoke English. She was dismissive and I essentially got no information. Complete waste of time. I’ll be sure to learn another language and try again in the near future… Not.

Terrible place. Appt was at 8pm. Made us wait until 8:30 saying they were so busy. Place was busy lots of people waiting looking also frustrated. I think they just say yes to all appts and make people wait. Short term thinking as we will never go back. Finally after waiting they brought us to a room. We were getting foot massages and they brought us to a body massage room and told one of us to go on the bed and another in the chair. It was a small tight dark room. We said no thanks and left. Host said oh wait 10 – 15 more minutes for normal chairs so would be 45 minutes after our accepted Appt. We walked. Went to a different Massage place called Shangra-​La on No 3. It was fantastic.

Stay away unless you like to pay for a massage where the masseuse talks to other employees during your massage and laugh and joke about their clients. Oh yah and make phone calls on their cell phone while massaging you. Waste of your money definitely not a place where you can relax. Very disappointed!!!’

So invigorating massage ever!

I came here for 1.5 hours of lymph detox. I’ve been having swollen limbs and couldn’t figure out why. Not wanting to take any medication (both western and Chinese), I decided to come here to boost my circulation as a start.
My masseuse was Mila. She was friendly and attentive. She did her job and was quick to adjust the level of her touch based on my pain reflex. I started face down and was asked to flip face up during the middle of the session. This massage emphasized on upper legs, especially inner thighs (very painful), armpits, stomach and a little bit of neck. Do not expect gentle blissful massage. This is not the place for you. The massage here is «supposed» to give you some good pain.
My problem with my visit is that the session is supposed to last 1.5 hours but I was done 10 minutes early. What the f*ck? That wasn’t cool.
The rooms are not sound proof. Towards to end of my appointment I could hear people chatting outside. My appointment was early in the morning, 10AM, so it was fairly peaceful and quiet for a good hour.
This place will upsell you to get a package of 10 and give you the 11^th visit for free. Tipping is a minimum of $ 5 per person which they encourage you to pay cash.

China-​style massage place. Skilled therapists but let’s be honest, this is not a place of tranquility like Scandinave Spa. No, this is a straight up $ 33/​50min foot massage, in a room adorned by Daiso massaging devices for wall art, while listening to them shout across the room in Beijing Mandarin. Pray they don’t get distracted by their iPhone 4s too many times before turning attention back to you. Good value but basic facility. A–

The massage therapists talk way to dam loud in addition to shouting across the hall to each other. Could be a good foot massage but it’s too noisy in here. Pardon me for interrupting the chat fest! If you prefer quiet and relaxing location go to the victoria & 33^rd location.

I travelled here and just found this place. Been there twice with my husband and felt that this is a place I will come back next time. It’s better to call make appointment before u go cuz they r always full. I like the way they do the foot and body massage. Its hard to find in SF now.

I have been here 6 or 7 times! 60 minute message and 30 minutes on the feet! Hurts so good!!! Great price too!

I go here for cheapie foot reflexology or body massages. It’s usually convenient to call ahead, although I have pretty much walked in and had a massage on short notice too.
They try to promote relaxation with muted lighting and soft music, however it really depends on your masseuse — I’ve had completely quiet ones to ones who will chat with other masseuses in the room to ones that have tapped on their phone, to ones in between. He price is right so I continue to return.

I come here for a body massage and they’re usually really good with same day appointments and even walk-​ins. I like Chinese deep tissue and if you tell them you was lots of pressure they do a good job.
I go to Peter and he’s awesome. Their male masseuse will always only massage you under a thin blanket.
Overall pretty awesome!

Stay away! Worst massage I’ve ever had in my life. Extremely uncomfortable and at times painful. Masseuse only used her elbows and would not stop talking throughout the session (to the other masseuse in the room). Left in pain

I was abit disappointed. My left foot has been hurting for awhile now. My masseuse was just average. I suggested to her to use more pressure on my left foot but it felt like she had no strength. I knew that her finger was hurting bc she kept on rubbing it. A good foot masseuse should be able to tell that I have issues on my foot. Even I can feel the knots on my arch! She did not even try to get rid if it. She treated my left foot the same as my right. After my treatment, I didn’t feel any difference. Felt like I wasted my money.
The only good thing was the price is affordable and they take credit card.

If you are looking for pampering while getting a relaxing foot massage in a zen environment… go to Spa Utopia or Absolute Spa. You’ll get that for about 3x the price of Big Feet. But if you are looking to heal your weary feet in an inexpensive way, Big Feet fits that bill. Or shoe.
Remember — reflexology is a different practice than just a regular «foot massage». My reflexologist was able to tell I was having some stomach problems just by pinpointing and putting pressure on a certain part of my foot!
Yes, it’s loud. Yes, the décor is a bit old and tacky. But at the end of the day, it was more than worth the $ 35, and I would totally go back again.

We found this place off of a referral from a River Rock Casino employee. It was just a block from the SkyTrain, too.
For my actual foot massage, I’d give my lady a 4 star as it was really good (when she was working) BUT… I can see why others give this place a 1 – 2 star. ALL the workers here talked to each other the WHOLE time. I wish I could understand Chinese so I could be entertained, too. Coz peeps were laughing and having straight up gossip sessions. It was like the Asian version of «beautyshop» or «barbershop».
Luckily my husband and I were just so tired and in pain (from sight seeing the day before) that it didn’t matter that my husband’s technician answered and held a conversation on his cell phone during his time, and mine stopped mid rub to set up another station and move furniture. And then somebody was smoking in there! Or really, really close to the front door so our massage area smelled like smoke.
It’s not the «worst» place I’ve been too as it’s relatively clean, but because it’s so noisy and «busy» in there, it doesn’t have a comfortable atmosphere. Would I come here again? No, not where there are so many other places around, but if I was desperate, using SkyTrain again, and just needed a decent foot rub then I know where this place is.
