History

Established in 1983.

A B.C. resident since 1992, Brechin Maclean has established a reputation as one of British Columbia’s foremost photographers of the Peace Region.

A former resident of Fort St. John, Maclean relocated to Victoria in 1998 a full-​time Professional Photographer based in Steveston, BC.

Maclean has been described as a photographer with a rare talent. His acute sensitivity to beauty, matched by his technical ability, result in photographs that are works of art.

Maclean’s work has appeared in such magazines as Beautiful British Columbia, Canadian Living, Photo Life, Westworld, and Reader’s Digest.

Brechin specializes in original photographic images, creating portraits, documenting events, and photographing landscapes and still life objects. A methodical photographer, Brechin anticipates conditions, making sure he is in the right place at the right time. He also applies this technique when photographing people, using his talent as a natural observer of life’s candid and emotional moments to capture genuine expressions.
