Fast. Cheap. Cafeteria style HK food. Everything on the board. Most of the items will fill you up fast. Even the $ 6 combos. Just place your order up front. Wait for food. Eat. Leave. I’m boggled why Unilocalers think décor or customer service is a huge turn off for them in a cafeteria style café rest. Prob the same people that expect the tables of IKEA’s kitchen area to be spotless 24⁄8 even during peak dining hours or if the sashimi has gotten«Cold». #SMH Loyal’s staff always come by to check if you need your tray bused or tables need a wipe. They are as attentive as you get them to be. I see no flaw in this system. They have $ 3 hotdog combo all the way to $ 30 steak platters. I wouldn’t mind if they had more desserts or pastries like The Rock or Maxims does. No complaints here.

I like it. There food is decent for an ‘express’ café. Service is good too. Example I wanted a spaghetti bolognaise lunch size but want to pick up my order close to dinner time and they are happy to oblige as long as you place your order during lunch hours. Only problem is the parking, which is very very limited.

This place is great. The menu is on the wall when you enter. You order and pay then get a number. It’s cash only but it’s really cheap and the people are super friendly.

If you’re looking for a quick & simple place to grab a meal, this is a good choice. It’s an Asian fast food, self-serve style joint. You order your food, pay, find a seat and wait for your number to be called. Decently priced, $ 10 for a good portioned dish with a drink, taxes included. They have cheaper combos and slightly more expensive dishes as well. I had the baked spaghetti Bolognaise/Bolognese, which was really good and flavourful, but on the sweeter side if you’ve had authentic spaghetti Bolognaise before(I just came back from Italy). Also very saucey and cheesy. Some dishes require a 10 – 15 wait time(most baked dishes), but they also have a 5-minute express lunch menu for if you’re in a hurry(apparently guaranteed 5-mins or it’s free). Tipping is optional as there is no table service, but I suppose if you’re feeling extra nice! I give them an extra star for the portion, the affordable price and cleanliness(open kitchen), otherwise would have been a 3 – 3.5 Cons: hard to find parking around the area during peak hours. Cash only. Menus only available along the the wall by entrance; could get crowded

Yes the parking sucks. Yes there’s no service(because it’s a fast food). Yes no ambience. However, it is clean, food is decent portion with affordable price. No +$ 1 for cold drinks. I really want to give them credit on their friendly staff. All of them!

Fantastic pricing(e.g. $ 7 or $ 8, taxes in, for tons of rice dishes including bbq duck and pork). Noodle bowls are the largest I have seen. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a ton to choose from depending on time of day. Staff, mostly the owner, is extremely friendly and wants to earn your business. Parking is really tight though. Go for: quick service, quality food, and perfect pricing. Dont go for: décor, nice night out, a hangout place, and other nonsense. Cash only.

Been here many times! Morning menu, lunch menu, afternoon menu and dinner menu. Between 3−5pm you can get a hot dog and hamburger Hong Kong Café style. Deep fried chicken wings are good. Usually comes as part of a combo, but if you ask nicely you can get them for $ 2 a piece. A bit of a ripoff that they don’t off the wings as a side dish. Too bad. They do best here with combos. Divert away from the set menus and you’re asking for trouble. Just line up and order by number. Pay for order and find a seat. Wait till they call your ticket number and when ready bring it to your table. Eat Hopeful enjoy Return for another experience . Solid three out of five. I’d give it a 4 but I need more chicken wings or better instant noodles used in the soup combos.

Food: 2⁄5 Service: Self-serve Ambiance: 1⁄5 «Snappy, simply, affordable» — I’m going to have to disagree with this! Food court style service — as in, order at the counter, take a seat and then pick up your order when your number is called. Sounds simple enough, but it ended up being more disorganized than it should have been. The only option for menus are on backlit displays on the sidewall as you enter the restaurant. This causes a traffic jam at the entrance when a crowd starts to gather awkwardly trying to browse each menu while trying to avoid getting in eachothers’ way. We came here yesterday for dinner. Food was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered the deep fried squid($ 12), seafood and tofu hotpot($ 15), and sweet and sour pork($ 12). Each dish came in a set which came with a side soup, drink, and white rice. The fried squid and pork seemed stale and the breading on the squid was unfortunately bland. The seafood and tofu hotpot was the best out of the three but misleading since it didn’t come with any tofu! It included imitation crab, one mussel, shrimp, squid, fish, and eggplant. Pretty tasty but portion was smaller in comparison with the other two dishes for $ 15. Ambiance was a bit confusing. The walls are painted bright orange and décor is casual modern. I found it distracting that they had the TV’s sound on while music simultaneously played over the speakers. It seems that their lunch time sets are more reasonable at $ 7 each but even with the limited options around the area, I’d rather spend my money somewhere else(there’s a decent phở place next door.)

Café Loyal is a hidden gem on bridgport road. It is like a fast food chain, order your food, eat and go. There is a good selection on combos, chinese or western to choose from. Their combos start at 8 $, which includes a decent sized portion entrée and a drink. It is a good deal and I have to say it is quite yummy. However they have limited parking spots in that little plaza.

Warning this place is cash only, however, no need to worry ’cause everything on the menu is very reasonably priced. Décor is neutral, not much for ambiance. It gets busy at peak times ’cause it’s so cheap but it does move at a reasonable pace. Portions are a decent size mostly carbs on the plate so you will be hungry later. The food is nothing to write home about but good and cheap.

Great pricing and fast service. Portions are decent size too. For the price and service it is 5 star, but the food is a bit on the oily side so 4 in my books.

This place is really similar to Hong Kong’s fast food chain«Café de coral» you order first + pay first and then eat your meal. It’s really cheap considering you get a drink & you don’t necessarily need to tip. Their chicken on spaghetti is really good.

This is not a HK-style café. It’s a HK-style cafeteria. Special mention goes to the parking lot here. The parking is among the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. Worse than those restaurants on Alexandra — I never thought I would say this. There are maybe 15 spots, shared with this place and other businesses in the strip mall(Scotiabank was smart and bought their own exclusive spots). Except that the lot is too narrow. The guy in front of you can’t move, because someone is pulling out of a stall and blocking him, but that guy pulling out can’t move because there’s another car in the opposite direction. And that car can’t move because another 3 cars just decided to enter from Bridgeport. I could literally feel my blood pressure rising. Thank goodness someone happened to pull out of a spot literally in front of me, or I’d be circling for hours. If you aren’t so lucky like the regular 99%ers, I wish you the best of luck. There is literally no street parking for several blocks. Sure there are spots on paper, but they’re pretty much all gone by 0800 by employees of nearby businesses. The inside of the restaurant is really unlike any other place I’ve even at locally. You literally walk straight into a line-up section. Some TV screens show the menu items. You know it’s classy when they show that an item is sold out by literally taping over the screen. See photos. The dining area literally feels like someone’s living room the day they moved in. Bare walls, and laminate floors. Even the tables look like they’re from Ikea. There’s a coffee machine on the side, but I can’t tell if customers are allowed to touch it. Oh, and some of the tables have salt and pepper shakers. Food is decently priced, at $ 7 or $ 8, taxes in. The L31(Thai sauce chicken fried rice) tastes exactly as described Obviously it’s going to be done HK style. Mediocre food that fills you up. The portion is very decent though. This can easily be shared between 2 people. The best part is that cold drinks don’t cost $ 1 more, like most other places out there. Curiously enough, my plate of rice came with a 3-pronged fork, spoon, AND a pair of chopsticks. I sat there confused, not knowing what to do. Decisions, decisions. The place is literally designed so that you’ll eat and GTFO. There are no TVs showing Asian dramas. There is no table service — the waitress(unusually cheerful) yells out the number on your receipt, and you pick up your food off the kitchen counter. If you’re going to eat here, be sure to hitch a ride off somebody else, so that you don’t have a stroke in the parking lot. While the value is definitely decent, I don’t think I can handle trying to park here again.

*Cash only* L4 House Salty Chicken with Rice $ 73.5÷5 — The chicken might be a little undercooked with some red fluid around the bone area. The chicken was juicy and tender but way too salty. The amount of salt was so much that the rice was salty too. L15 Tomato with Beef with Spaghetti $ 72.5÷5 — The tomato sauce was very mild and bland. The spaghetti was overcooked like most of the Hong Kong Café. L30 Shredded Chicken with Rice Vermicelli $ 84⁄5 — better than the one I had in Kam Ho last week. A little oily but acceptable. Decent amount of chicken. It has the right amount of moisture in the vermicelli too. I haven’t been to a self-serve café for a very long time especially in Vancouver. I forgot that you need to keep an eye on your number even when it wasn’t busy. Nobody will bring your food over to your table. I hope they can add soup during lunch time. I know they offered it at dinner but not at lunch. They only serve tea, coffee, and pop. I hope they can expand the menu in the near future. There is no extra cost for cold drinks. Taxes are also included in the price. They only serve breakfast Mondays-Fridays. I was looking for breakfast(or smaller portions) on Saturday morning but there was nothing on the menu. Afternoon menu is served until 5:30pm instead of 6pm. Their Facebook page said they are doing so good that they are opening another store soon.
