We provide hardware, software, technical services, onsite network admin support, and hardware repairs. We carry most brands of hardware and software. Coastway is a leading authorized HP partner, installing servers, desktops, tape backups, networking, and the full line of printers.

We are a certified Microsoft partner with Microsoft certified network engineers with extensive experience with Windows, Windows Servers, Exchange Servers, and Microsoft Small Business Servers (SBS). We can recommend a robust solution, install and configure it, migrate your apps and data to it, and help you manage it going forward.

History

Established in 1984.

Coastway has been active in many areas. In 1984, we were pioneers in desktop publishing, supporting PC software for typesetters. One of our staff started VEPA, the Vancouver Electronic Publishers Association to help educate end-​users.

We expanded into other areas, distributing dental management software in BC and Alberta in 1985, expanded to medical billing in 1987 when that became a government mandate for doctors. We ran the Medical Software Users Group to help doctors sort out the more than thirty software solutions. We added computer training facilities in 1990, and offered software training in over thirty programs.

By 1991, we were installing and supporting networks based upon Novell Netware with certified software engineers. By 1995, we were selling the more popular Microsoft Windows solutions. We provide ongoing network admin and network support today to many Windows networks, including e-​open and Netextra storage solutions.
