Do note that they get really busy and you might have to wait a week or two to get your appointment scheduled. It just shows how popular they are among car enthusiasts.

I came here to get my coilovers and chassis brace installed on my vehicle. I rarely do give businesses 5 stars but these guys totally deserve it. The customer service is top notch and the guys really care about what they do. Everyone here, including the technicians working in the back are cool. You’re not really treated as a customer, but as a buddy… and we are all united in our attempts to make our ride look and perform better.
The best thing is that the prices are very reasonable. For example, my chassis brace took just 15 minutes to install. Most shops charge minimal ½ hour labor for that but they charged me ¼ hour labor. In my opinion, this business isn’t driven on making the most profit from their customers while doing the absolute least (like most other businesses I deal with).
The only thing I have to complain about is that the retail space is a bit cluttered. I think if they relocated to a bigger place, and had more goodies on display, they would be the best tuner shop in the lower mainland.

Garage Five has been around for a LONG time. When i bought my first car, i went to them with all my mods (suspension and exhaust). Fast forward 10 years later, now I have a car that needs work done and they are booked SOLID.
Having said that, they are on time and always give accurate time frames. They can order parts for you if you’re too lazy to do it yourself. Give Dave a call and you’ll be a customer for life.

Back in the day when you heard the name ‘Garage Five’ you would think of cars from movies like the ‘Fast & Furious’ looking all tricked out in your rice’d out ride this was probably one of the places you got your stuff installed. Not too many people know that they are not just a ‘tune-​up’ shop. Let’s get to the basics first, you want rims, tires, exhaust, bodykits, carbon-​fibre hoods, spoilers, anything to make that car of yours look extra cool, sound extra cool, peform extra cool, well this is still the place for that. The prices here are very competitive, and the service here is top notch. What people don’t realize is that they also do your tune-​ups and fix ups for you non-​crazy modified rice’s up cars.
I just went to get a transmission flush from them, and I booked this a week in advance, they took the courtesy to call me a day before to remind me of this appoointment, got my car in on a Saturday morning, and by mid lunch I was giving them my money for such prompt service as they called me to advise that my car was ready. Wouldn’t think of going to them in the past for this type of service but now I will, and probably will come back for some different things as giving them a chance to quote on changing my shocks for my car. The guys here are super friendly, not the faceless mechanics/​automotive guys behind goggles and mask that you don’t see which adds to the cool factor.
If your in Richmond, near the place, or just want a good job done to your car, give these guys a call to ask if they can do what you need them to do to help your ride, and you will be surprised by the overall service and price.

Had a dead battery today after Denny’s, and gave them a call, OK for me to come over to drop by even they were busy, both of their hoists were taken up.
Service quick, new battery arrived in 15 min, and out the door.

Found out about these guys from a local car club and started shopping here now. Great service, prices and very helpful.

One of the more established tuners in the Lower Mainland, these guys definitely know their JDM stuff and are knowledgeable in all areas, be it installs or ECU tuning. They have a laundry list of quality suppliers and go-​fast parts from Europe, Japan and the USA. Want to get that Rotrex blower installed? They do it. Hondata tuning, yup, got that covered here too.
Only downside is that they don’t have a alignment machine and the place is super busy during the summer months, so book in advance! Install rates are highly competitive and they always back up their work.
Dave and Rob are super friendly guys up front and Wayne and Rich know their stuff putting on my suspension and Innovate Wideband AFR on my MINI. Two thumbs up!

Got a Honda? Yup, they tune them here and really well as a matter of fact. If you are looking for parts for your car, chances are they can find them for you here. Unfortunately not everything can be found here, but pretty much for most of your Japanese import car needs.
Remember, this is a tuning shop, a high performance parts center and garage service. They carry all kinds of aftermarket parts and wheels and tires. If they don’t have it, they can probably source it out for you.
The one limitation is that they don’t really do «hard core» racing stuff. No special fabrications, cages, safety gear. Mostly name brand Japanese stuff. So if you have a BMW or Mercedes or a certain Toyota Yaris, You ‘ll have to go elsewhere.
I came by one time looking for 13×8 inch wheels, they didn’t have them. I asked about special Tokiko Shocks for the Yaris,… not available. So there are some limitations, yes. But they are a great bunch of guys who all work hard and have a great reputation to uphold. If you are starting on a car project and it’s Japanese? Drop in and say hi, tell them what you are looking for and go from there.
The Car tuning community is really small and all the reps know each other and help each other out. So if they can’t get it, another one can.
