I usually don’t eat from trucks, but it smelt so good, I had to try it. And then I tried it again. And then I told my friends. And then I bought the bbq sauce because holy crap, it’s good!

J&B Barbeque sauce has been available in specialty stores all over the province for a while, but they just opened their BBQ Food Truck at the new Richmond Night market at the River Rock Casino, and I think everyone will be glad they did! My review is partially biased as I know these guys pretty well, but I have to say their pepperoni, BBQ pulled pork, smoked chicken and huge chunky slices of smoked brisket that they served up at the night market in «meatwiches» and slider combos were so damn satisfying. I find some pulled pork to be «over-pulled» in the sense that it can get stringy and taste shredded and dry… these guys have big chunks of ends mixed in, and every once in a while you get that lil bit of end piece that just makes the taste soar. Last night, I took home 3 huge containers of the meat and coleslaw alone. The coleslaw has a sweet and cuminy crunch and just seems to compliment their bbq sauce so amazingly. People were lining up and coming back for seconds or getting takeout to bring home for later. People quickly realized just how futile having just one slider could be… I watched one guy sit there and eat 7! 8 $ for a meatwich or a 3 slider combo may seem a bit steep for the average market prices, but they are piled high with meat and sauce, and the sauce alone will have you considering a second, and even buying a bottle of their spicy bbq sauce, or original with garlic(5 $ each). These guys don’t plan to move around, and they will be at the new Nightmarket all summer long. I know I will be going back again and again.
