We primarily work on late model european vehicles, however, being in business for over 40 years we have expertise in performing auto body repair and refinishing to a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

We are a certified Volvo repair facility and are the recommended repair facility for many new car dealers which include: BMW, Infiniti, Mini, Audi, Volvo, Subaru, Honda, Ford and Mazda among others.

We are an ICBC express valet accredited repair facility. In addition we deal with all private insurance companies.

History

Established in 1971.

After spending the better part of the 60’s learning the auto body repair trade in the Vancouver, Mike Giannelli founded MG Collision Repairs Ltd. in Richmond, BC in 1971.

Applying his European craftsmanship, work ethic and desire to provide exceptional service MG Collision Repairs has garnered an outstanding reputation for high quality repairs, innovative repair techniques, knowlegable technicians and timely courteous service. We have trained and produced mainly excellent technicians over the years and have supported the trade programs at our local post secondary institutions.

MG Collision remains family owned and operated in the same location and our clientele benefits from this. We use the latest repair technology and equipment so that each vehicle repaired is completed to our exceptionally high standards and each customer is treated as family.

Meet the Manager

Mike G.

Manager

Mike Giannelli (Jr.) is now operating the day-​to-​day business at MG Collision, however, Mike Sr’s extensive knowledge, experience and mentorship continues to add value to the younger generation.

Previously, Mike Jr. was a member/​racer with the Canadian Alpine World Cup Ski Team (96 – 03) and many of our long standing clientele knew this as well.

Upon retiring from ski racing Mike obtained a diploma in Financial Managment at BCIT, Hons. (05). He then articled with Canada’s largest public accounting firm KPMG and obtained his Chartered Accountancy designation in 2007.

Having grown up around the family business Mike brought his business knowledge to the auto body repair industry in 2010 and is focused on maintaining the long history of quality service MG Collision is known for.

Mike is passionate about the business, his family and the community. He is President of the Crisis Centre of BC, Treasurer of the BC Alpine Ski Association and Facilitator for the CA School of Business.
