I had a mini feast here. If you know the owner you get the«si fong» private dinner :) I had the 2-dish fish course and soup, double lobsters with noodle, slow cooked pan fried oysters, 3 mushroom steak, mui baby boy choy & mushrooms, green onion ginger chicken and black sesame dumplings.

Service here is really good. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. The food and drink is a bit below average. We had the mango bubble tea and it taste a lot different than regular mango milk tea you’ll get elsewhere. The food is okay. The portion is uneven. Example, for the pasta you’ll have 4 small pieces of pork and a plate of pasta. Lol however the size of the bubble tea is quite a lot so it’s more than enough to share with someone if you’re doubting you can finish one.

Serves Taiwanese snacks, meals, and drinks. The waitress told me they opened in April 2012, and that business has been pretty slow as customers seem to associate them with the previous restaurant that occupied this space(i don’t know what it was but she said it was bad). I *believe* it’s a new owner now. I ordered the hot pot and loved it. My boyfriend didn’t like his fried rice but I don’t blame them since we eat rice everyday, haha. Service is good. Seating is spacious. I genuinely hope they do well, and I will surely come back for late night suppers since they close at 2 am.

On the second leg of our eating night for a friend’s birthday, we decided to change it up and come here of all places. This place has been so many places prior to changing it’s name to ‘Mochi’ and when we entered, it was pretty quiet. Roomy is what I would call this place, as they have many booths and tables, and when very few people are here, it shows. We were quickly seated and presented menus to order. They have a wide variety of choices on the menu, from Taiwanese appetizers(fried popcorn chicken, fried tofu, etc.) to set meals where they cook curries and serve rice on the side, soup noodles and more. The other thing they have, are interestingly named drinks like«Love You Long Time»??? OK, that will get my attention, as did the other ones like«Dirty Little Secret», I think we were having too much fun with the names, and the waitress working here heard us from across the room and came over to tell us all the ingredients of the drinks. The food was alright, nothing to rave about, but it fit the bill. The extra star here was the service, as this waitress did everything she could to make sure things were going alright. The TV was on the olympics and because no one was really watching, asked us if we wanted her to change the channel, she kept on coming over to refill our waters, and even asked us how our meal was, and if there was any problems, to please tell them, as they want to hear feedback. Obviously they want to stay in business, and care for input about their stuff, and for that I will come back. Didn’t get a chance, but they do have Taiwanese shaved ice here, if you are looking for that, and not many places serve it!
