They keep getting our order wrong and when the food finally arrived, it was cold. The«secret» 10 percent tip they automatically add to your bill felt like a scam.

Regretted not checking Unilocal before dining here. The bad reviews are true. Compared to other Neptune locations, the food portion sizes here are smaller, yet the menu prices are a few dollars higher on average. And yes, no matter your party size, they automatically add a 10% gratuity to your bill total without any mention of this beforehand(not anywhere on the menu nor verbally by the server). When your bill arrives, there’s just a small text on the bottom letting you know, «Gratuity Included». So if you’re not careful, you may wind up accidentally double tipping with another extra 10−15% on the final bill«Total»… For service that is almost non-existent. Overall, pretty shady operations. Definitely won’t be back again.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I wanted to try this place out after doing some light window shopping at McArthurGlen and I thought it looked decent. However, as we(party of 2) went in, we waited at the«wait to be seated» sign for half a minute until anyone acknowledged our presence even though the restaurant wasn’t even remotely full. I honestly went into the restaurant with high hopes as the décor was decent enough with a nice modern taste. We ordered the Fish ball noodle soup as well as the Shrimp dumpling dim sum. The food came in a decent amount of time, but the noodle soup came with a surprisingly large amount of noodles but almost little to no soup. When we asked the waiter if she could add some more soup in it, she took it almost before I finished, seeming as if others have asked the same thing before. She took my bowl, and went to a vat right in front of the kitchen where she ladled more soup into the bowl. Do they use the same soup for all their soups? That in itself seemed dubious. The food wasn’t much better. The soup was almost tasteless, the fish balls a little too fishy, and the noodles smelt weird and tasted equally as weird. As for the shrimp dimsum, the wrapping was extremely doughy and the shrimp seemed equally as mushy. On top of the disappointing food, the price came up to around $ 20 which is mighty unreasonable for their food and lackluster service. Will not venture their again, represented by the 7% tip I presented them.

Came after shopping at the outlet near yvr. It’s only in Richmond can you find a noodle congee restaurant at an outlet. Its a new location. Other locations include: Surrey, Burnaby and Richmond. Price is slightly higher for a bowl of noodles. Ombiance is casual. Seating is quiet comfortable Food is oky. My wonton noodles were a bit too peppery to my liking. Makes me so thirsty. Came here at 7:30 on a Saturday and all bbq items and congee were sold out. Wished they would replenish it though. They didn’t.
