Pit Lane Hand Carwash & Detailing

Definitely, One of my favourite car wash places in the lower mainland.
Pro: Decent price and service. I love so many people jump in and clean your car. Very efficient
Con: Super long wait on sunny days.

I tried a few other places but keep coming back to this one. The price is very reasonable. Several people wash the car at the same time. Yes, it is getting busier because they are that good and yes you will have to wait a bit especially if you come later in the afternoon but they do a great job! I left before with a couple spots missing, not washed to 100% but most of the time everything is left very clean. They try very hard to do a great job and people need to be reasonable that things can be missed and not everything can always be perfect. If you see something, you can mention it to them nicely. I’m sure they’re goal is to do the best they can!
Towels are always clean and they even leave a towel at your feed before you drive off to make sure your car is clean even after you get inside. I moved and live all the way in North Vancouver but still try to wash my car there when in the area. Overall I feel great about taking my car there every time I do.

Haven’t had a car wash at this place for 2 yrs. Tried them out today and they’re still pretty good. Still the same process & same lady manager/​cashier. My car was about 96% clean (exterior&interior) with a dirt strip left uncleaned on the side of my car. Service was slightly slower than before but still acceptable.

I was trying to join their «3 months unlimited wash», that CHI-​HUAHUA lady first stopped me, saying that’s only for 1 car, then say it’s not for commercial, I was already frustrated, I’m trying to give them business, then got refused & gave all obstacles and doesn’t want me to purchase. I insisted to purchase it, since i know there rules very well. Then she said I cannot wash the car too often, should be just once a month @__@. WTH, she collected $ 155+tax, & forced me to just wash once a month (avg $ 50/​time), while they’re asking single time wash approx $ 26. What a ripped off, beware of that CHI-​HUAHUA lady. She’s weird. The other staff are nice.

I have come here over the past 2 years for car wash. They used to be known for being fast and good with Japanese car wash quality. But i must say the quality and speed gets worse. Might try another one in the area

Not even worth 1 star. I went there for a car wash last year and got my car scratch. The owner does not wants to take responsibility. On the day of the incident, all their staffs were pretty much knows that the car rolls down the ramp and hit my car. They even offer for a free car wash service on that day. guess what…, the next day when they report this incident to ICBC, they claimed they did not know anything and refuse to take responsibility. Just a piece of advise you guys, when you had your car wash here, make sure your car engine is not off and be ready with a video camera in case the car infront of you rolls back and hits your car. that way they have evidence as the camera that was installed at the car wash was not running therefore nothing will backs you up.

I think the staff was not careful enough, after I had left there, I found my left wing mirror was not been washed while I was driving. other than that, everything was pretty clean and shining.

Called on Monday, November 10 to see how many cars were in the line up. I was advised there were currently 3 cars. Got there in 15 minutes there were 7 cars queued outside and apparently 9 cars inside. They can’t predict how many cars will come through at any given moment, fair enough.
Called today Wednesday, November 12 to ask how many cars were in the line up and if it was busy today. Lady answers that she cannot tell because she’s outside or something.
Poor customer service before I even bring my business here. It’s a simple question. There’s other budget car washes around…

Fairly good car washing place. It is very efficient. As soon as you pull into the garage, they started cleaning and washing your car while you sit in the car.
The washing and shampooing is all done by hand.
Once the car is washed, you pulled up further and finally get out of the car for the guys to wipe it dry and vacuum.
Pricing is typical $ 31 for SUV plus tip. Much better than GoldStar…

Exterior cleaning was good but interior cleaning has a lot of room for improvement. There were still lots of spots that were not clean after the car wash. Marks of dust and footsteps were all over the doors. My guess was that the staff could not see the marks because the shop was not very well lit. Overall a very lousy job for the interior. Two stars for fast service but it didn’t mean good service. Very disappointed that I spent $ 25 for this.

I’m sure it’s fine for the last-​minute car wash itch if you just got some bird doodoo splattered, not a bad place to kill time while the other half is shopping next door at Superstore.
But for $ 30 basic car wash & vacuum, I’d opted to spend extra $ 25 at BMS to get the car in tip-​top, brand-​new car smell, with the full detail on rims & tires too. Can’t compare a 1hr job to 2hr one lol.
Really is a factory in there, must’ve been 8 cars waiting when I popped in last month.

Fast but they missed wiping down my rear view mirror inside the car

Customer service and price were excellent, but the job itself was okay. You pay for what you get. I highly recommend this place for regular car wash, but I would go else where for the complete detai, based on my experience. Overall I was pretty pleased.

I brought my car in to be washed and unfortunately I wasn’t too happy with the end result. My car wasn’t exceptionally dirty to start with, but it did need some tidying up.
They were busy at the time, so maybe that’s why they missed some spots on the exterior of my car. There was still dirt in the gaps around my headlights and taillights.
The interior was haphazardly done. There were streaks left on my windows, dirt that was missed by the vacuum on the floor, and dust left on the dashboard. When they let me back into the driver’s seat, they had left a dirty, wet rag, on the driver’s side floor mat.
From the other reviews here, it seems as though service can be hit and miss. I haven’t decided if I’m willing to give them another chance.

This is a terrific place to get your car wash and such a reasonable price too.
It’s $ 22 for a car + tip, and there are a lot of people who wash the outside of your car by hand and then they also vacuum and clean the inside of your car. They have some benches for you to sit while they clean the inside of your car. Everyone is friendly and nice. A great part is the whole process takes only around 20 min or so. They also have a deal where if you get 12 car washes, you get 1 free.
Did I tell you the people where friendly and cool? They are. They just finished cleaning my car and it was all sparkly and beautiful and I drove it out of the lot and… a huge seagull crapped on it. I was devastated. The wash crew were so nice they cleaned my car again. :)

Went there based on what I read on Unilocal,and was not impressed by the service, other than it was fast. Yes they have 8 guys washing your car simultaneously, but none of them had the same enthusiasm that I see at other car wash places. Also, their inside wipe and vacuum job was horrible. Only after they pulled the mat from under my feet (I admit a cool gesture) did I see that there was still dust on the dash and that the floors still had lots of dirt in them that should’ve been removed by any normal vacuum. I’d say I could have had the same experience at a gas station car wash.
Final say: good for speed, but that’s about it.

This is the only place I bring my car to get it washed by hand. The people do quite a good job cleaning the exterior and the interior. They even laid a damp towel down on my mat and told me to wipe the bottom of my shoes before starting my car!
The price is decent ($ 20 for a small sedan) + tip.
Bring a sweater or scarf or something though. You will have to wait by the counter/​cashier area while they clean the inside of the car and it gets quite cold during the fall/winter.and sometimes spring time too. They provide a small heater by the waiting area but its really not enough to stay warm unless you stand right up against it.

My boyfriend’s car was pretty dirty, and had been to pitt lane before, and they did a pretty good job. This time when we went, the outside was not wiped down properly leaving water marks. The inside was poorly done. The dash was not wiped. I know that before, if you give them a tip, they will give a thumbs up, and they will somewhat do a better job. But if that’s the thing, i rather go further to the richmond auto spa to get everything done with a longer time period for around the same amount next time.
For a quick car wash for the exterior, I would recommend. For a cleanup of the interior and vacum, I wouldn’t

I admit it, I’m just too lazy to wash my car, so I bring it to Pit Lane when my car is in need of a good washing. For $ 20(plus tax), they pre-​rinse (including some extra rim & tire care), hand wash, vacuum, dry, and wipe down windows, dash, and rear view mirror. As Tim L states, it is like an assembly line with workers doing different duties, finishing your car in about 15 mins! Your car will look great, but don’t expect the results of a professional detailing. On sunny days, this place can get very busy! Your best bet is to go to HK BBQ Master across the street and get some Chinese BBQ and eat it inside your car as they clean it!

Sometimes I just don’t have the time to wash my car as much as I enjoy doing it. In fact it wasn’t until recent years that I would let anyone else wash/​touch my car other than myself and a trusted friend.
Whilst shopping nearby at the Superstore I saw this place bursting with a line. $ 20 per car? That seemed like quite a deal to me for a hand wash.
It was assembly line style with multiple workers washing every single inch of the vehicle.
What sets them apart is unlike some other car washes that only do the exterior they even clean the entire interior (basic cleaning). So that involved wiping down all glass surfaces and even dressing up the trim and some light vacuuming.
All this for $ 20 and finished in under 10 minutes. That’s just aces! They also have more options like wax and full on detailing, however I haven’t made use of those services yet.
SUV’s and Minivans cost a little more but nothing beyond reasonable.
