After moving to their current location, the quality is just not the same. I wouldn’t go back.

This has to be one of my favourite places to get ramen in the GVRD, and is certainly the closest thing I’ve found to the delicious bar ramen I used to eat in Japan. The cart is right across the street from Bridgeport station next to a make-your-own sushi hut and a bakudanyaki trailer. The noodles are firm and well cooked, and they LOAD vegetables into it(black mushrooms, garlic chips, garlic chili, corn, seaweed, green onion, pac choi and bean sprouts). I have never left feeling hungry after eating here, and would highly recommend it to anyone on the hunt for delicious eats. The only problems I have ever had with the place are the fact that there is only one vegetarian soup base(miso), and the lack of seating if there is a rush. But really, what do you expect from a food cart?

This was too cool. A food cart hanging out by Bridgeport Station, and the inside felt like a ramen bar. They have one vegetarian broth option(miso), but when we ordered vegan, he packed in as many vegetables as he could. I was pretty impressed. It was not as flavourful as I would have liked but it felt healthy and the experience was cool enough that I didn’t mind!

Richmond’s version of the food carts brings to us this empty lot with 3 food trucks. Tonight, I was able to try out this ramen place, as the other 2 places were closed. I had their special, which was a miso soup base, with egg, sweet peas, bean sprouts, seaweed and cabbage. There was about a 5 minute wait, and then I was presented with a piping hot bowl of noodles. I took the noodles home since they were going to close soon, but there is a small table outside as well if I had wanted to stay. After a ten minute drive, the taste test. Noodles were ok, they seemed a bit undercooked. There was a good portion of it, along with the other ingredients; this was just the perfect portion for a late night meal. There was a perfectly soft boiled egg, which was a good complement to the noodles. The soup base was nothing too special; I found it to be a little salty. For $ 8, I would probably venutre somewhere else to get my ramen fix.
