Sushi Han

Hmmmm I was afraid after looking at the new locations review status and from word of mouth. This place used to be good! It used to be busy! Maybe it was an off day. And I remember there were more than just two reviews of this place. At the old location I gave it a good three stars. I want to do better than that but can’t. I’m giving them a 3 but the California roll from combo C was just awful. What many Japanese style sushi restaurants are doing is prepping the bulk, cheaper sushi like California Rolls in advance. When you order, the sushi is pre made and cold and sometimes even the rice is hard. It wasn’t made fresh from fresh warm seasoned sushi rice. My gal pal didn’t like it at all. Her gentle balanced pallet for sushi items made her not want to eat the rest and gave me the leftovers she couldn’t and wouldn’t eat.
So while she said it was a one star, I was generous enough to give it too a one star. Sushi is supposed to be made fresh, on the spot and the rice should still be warm.
So how could it be worse? I don’t know. But in the plus side. I was smart enough to notice the brown rice sushi option and they made the brown rice good. Not too soft and some good texture.
You see, when you order sushi, ask for brown rice options. I do hope that they find a way to improve. I used to like this place. And with hopes that I get to see better reviews posted here after mine.
I do hope they can make this a place that it should and could be.

A couple of times, I ordered some rolls of sushi for take out from here and it was a ok.
So I had dinner with my boyfriend one time.
We ordered spicy tuna rolls, dynamite rolls, katu and gyoza.
Sushi was ok but spicy tuna was a little spicy for me.
Katu was … well I can’t say ‘Bad‘ its not fare for them that I compare katu I used to have it in Japan. Because as Japanese I know authentic katu is like and not so many places in Canada they serve good katu.
I would recommend this place for simple rolls of sushi if you ok with just so-​so taste.
But if you want to have ‘authentic‘ Japanese food, this is not a place to go.

Just horrible food and average service. A disgrace to Japanese cuisine. If you are feeling Japanese food just go to the restaurant near by called osaka today.
