The only part that was good of Vancouver Dine out was the steak and scallop and appetizer Baked garlic shrimp. Our server suck balls!!! When we got there and seated we ordered Bottle of Red Wine. First of, our server didn’t check our wine glass if it was clean or dirty. It was so dirty that I had to clean it myself. As soon as she serve our food she drop my food on the table, literally that I thought the plate had chipped or maybe even broken. I really think she was clumsy. She also drop my husbands credit card. We didn’t like the Dessert because we can tell that it wasn’t made homemade it was ordered and delivered through GFS because the cheese cake was frozen and it wasn’t even fresh and it was too much strawberry sauce I won’t go back at the keg ever! I would rather eat somewhere where they also make dessert not delivered.

Had dinner with friends at the keg. Service was great as usual, but my dinner arrived in different degree’s of temperature. My meat was a little to rare for me but warm. My veggies and potato were cold. They were super busy so I guess the timing was off.

Went here for dinner last night and as always, food was great as was the service. I always know when I come here that I won’t be disappointed. If you’ve never had the billy miner pie it’s a must try and you can never go wrong with the prime rib. Atmosphere is great whether you’re on a date or with a big group.

The Keg. Always busy. Good place for($ 31)12oz sirloin steak or($ 33) 10oz prime rib. Service this time around was a little lacking; we sat there for 20 mins before we had to get somebody to get our server. Everyone must have been here before once in their lifetime. If you haven’t, go and try one of their steaks as the food is usually good. The only thing lacking is the price point. Because for what you pay, you aren’t getting the service or décor of a nicer place. Go for: their steaks or prime rib. Don’t go for: something besides their steak or prime rib. Even their sides are kinda meh.

Maybe its just me, but the prices at this Keg seem cheaper than the Keg in Langley(near 200st). Last review I did for the 200st Keg wasn’t great because the prices were so high for steak/lobster and it didn’t even include a side of

Had the BBQ ribs and caesar salad. As always it was very good. The service was pretty good. Their desserts are awsome! Will definitely be coming back with friends again.

We came here on a Sunday night for a birthday dinner. I ordered the prime rib 10 oz with baked potato for around $ 30+. I asked for medium rare for my Prime rib but it appears to look and taste a bit too dry for my liking. I feel that there can be improvement on their food quality. The Richmond location definitely isn’t as modern or nice looking as the other Keg’s. Service is normal, nothing spectacular. Price range is ok as well. Free parking available.

I ordered the oven baked salmon($ 27) with baked potato instead of rice. It was a small piece of wild salmon that also comes with some asparagus. When I cut in near the center of the piece of fish it was tender and I thought this was going to be a great entrée. However the outer edges of the salmon were dry and over cooked(which is a good portion of your small serving which could probably fit in a burger bun). The worst part was that some of the salmon had a fishy smell that you get when fish is not fresh. I could not tell right away because it was not smelly for some bites. I ate about a quarter of the salmon and gave up on it, complaining to the server. The server apologized and brought me a Caesar salad instead. Apparently I took too long to complain because when I took my first bite From the centre of the fish I told him it was good. So I paid $ 27 for a salad, baked potato, and 3 pieces of asparagus. I will not go back to the Richmond Keg for a long time after such a bad experience.

Ah, the Keg, what’s not to like? Awesome people. Friendly servers. And delicious food. It’s about time I return the favour by writing a review about my experiences. I like this location due to it’s location from my work and home. Parking is never really a problem. But they get busy during the holidays. Here’s my play of the day. I start with Calamari, Escargot, Tuna Tartare, and Lobster Tacos(Summer Lobsterfest). All really good. As for the protein, Keg Size Prime Rib(24 oz) with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. This is not on the menu, but you can request for it and they’d be happy to give you a nice, thick 24 oz cut. I always ask for as rare as they can give me(it’s usually medium rare most of the time). It’s juicy, melt in your mouth, tender deliciousness. My other protein fav is the Bone-In Rib Steak with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Veg(I usually ask for Onion Fritters with this meal). Cooked to Chicago style rare(black and blue). Nice charring on the outside, and juicy goodness inside. The seasoning is well balanced throughout. I usually switch between this and the Prime Rib. And for dessert, the Billy Miner Pie. Oh, so good.

Ordered 3 appetizers, all tested like fridge food. The bread was not made the same day. The steak lack the flavor The only attractives are the good looking staffs and atmosphere. Not recommend for food lover

I had a high expectations for The Keg since it is a wellknown steakhouse and the commercials did quite an impression for me. The service was good, attentive and friendly. However, when I asked for a cup of hot water, they said it cost $ 1.50 with a lemon. I thought if I didn’t ask for honey or lemon it would have been free. Just kidding. So I just ordered ice water because scooping ice into tap water didn’t cost anything. Whenever I see a restaurant offering iceberg lettuce salad, I get very excited because the one at Earls in Bellevue, Seattle was amazing. However, this one was rather flat. I was expecting a buttermilk blue cheese dressing but nope, I got ranch and chunks of blue cheese. No wonder people can’t take the stinky taste because the buttermilk is used to mask the taste. There wasn’t enough dressing but it’s okay. I ordered the Keg Classic, the 10oz prime rib which came with my choice of salad, side and it had button mushrooms, peppers and string beans. When my plate of food was placed on the table, I knew right away the prime rib was not aged long enough or not at all. For anyone who doesn’t take any interest into food, it would have been considered yum but for me, the meat was tough and not the ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ prime rib I have eaten as a kid. I chose the twice bake potato which was tasty. My dad order the full portion of ribs, it looked good like a typical rib dish should look like. The others at the table ordered the baseball top sirloin, it had nice grill char marks but not really appealing. Overall the meal was okay but I wouldn’t come back

Pleasantly surprised and delighted. The last time I came here was about 8 years ago and it was a total fail — food was awful quality and cooked improperly, lack of service and I’ve avoided the place ever since(except for a birthday a couple years ago, but it was just for drinks). Well, clearly this location has changed since then! The interior is nice and modern, busy but cozy atmosphere. We came here as a group, celebrating a birthday and our server, Eddie, was fantastic. I had the special of the night which was the steak and seafood with a starter salad($ 36) and my gosh, I LOVED the wedge salad. You have to get it! And get it with blue cheese dressing. So good, I would go back just to order a dinner size version of it. The steak was good quality, so you really can’t screw that up and the baked potato was great. Others around me had veggie tacos, chicken, and some more steak. Everyone was pleased with their dish. Service was great — Eddie made sure everything went smoothly and offered us a free giant slice of ice cream cake for the birthday girl and us to share. Really great. If you can’t decide which wine to have with your steak, I had the Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon and it was perfect. Good on its own and terrific with a bite of red meat. I’d definitely come back for a night out with the girls or date night with the hubsters. Consider me a fan.

We came here for our anniversary. Got here at 5:10pm and was told the wait time to be around 20 minutes. We walked around for 10 minutes and went back to the reception area to wait. Another 20 minutes went by and we finally asked them how much longer did we have to wait. She said we would be next. After she told us, they instead kept taking their friends who just walked in and socialized with the manager to tables immediately. Another 15 minunte went by and we had waited for a total of 45 minutes. We asked them again how much longer did we have to wait given they told us we were next. The lady who told us about the time looked at the list and could not answer us. She just went speechless. The manager who kept taking his friends in came, overheard and said nothing either. I mean if it was during peak hours then I will give them some leniency in miscalculating time. But the parking lot was still 1⁄3 empty. We were upset and left. Thanks Keg. Thanks for ruining our mood on our anniversary.

Service and food have gone downhill. We were half way through our appetizers when they brought out the main course. We asked why they brought it out so soon and the server just shrugged their shoulders. We, the guests, had to scramble and make space on the table. The main meal portions also seemed to have shrunk. Would not go back to this restaurant.

I decided to take my wife to the Keg for her birthday dinner. I made a reservation stating that it was for her birthday and perhaps they could do something special for her. The lady that took my reservation assured me that she would pass this on to the server. We arrived there tonight and we had a nice little corner booth. We ordered French onion soup and the shrimp cocktail to start and a glass of wine. All good with that tasty bread. My wife ordered the steak Oscar and I ordered the 14oz Prime rib. Both good medium rare the way steaks should be prepared. Richard our server was very friendly, courteous and down right nice. Ordered a couple of sweet minis for dessert. And still no special surprise for my wife. They forgot :(I mentioned it to Richard and he said they didn’t tell him. Awwwww! He felt bad and comp’d our desserts. Very nice of Richard to do that. Gave him a big fat tip. Thanks Richard. We’ll be back.

Pretty good prime rib, but the baked potato toppings were exceptionally sparse for«everything» on it, and the crispy onion strings sounded like a good idea, except they were chewy and not crunchy at all. I tried to finish off my wife’s NY Strip steak, but it was pretty tough and just wasn’t doing it for me. The bread was good, and the prime rib is solid and was cooked perfectly as well, so If I’m back here I’ll probably get that again. Not very cheap for being a chain, but decent quality overall.

This Keg is definitely NOT a good representation of what a Keg should be. I had lunch today and the food was terrible. From the ice tea to the main course, everything was disgusting! The ice tea was extremely sweet. The French Onion soup was too salty. The Seafood sirloin was too dry. The waitress also spilled her whole tray between myself and my co-worker. My jacket is now dirty and need to dry wash. I love Keg and been to many other Kegs around Vancouver for years. This Keg managed to spoil all 3 occassions I had. Eat here at your own risk.

Fantastic. This location never seems to disappoint. Came here with my mom for a midweek dinner. Started with the French onion soup. It came out piping hot and was full of cheesy goodness. Also excellent with the sourdough bread and garlic butter. Next we had the wedge and Caesar salad. Big portions for a starter salad. Next came our entrees. Mom ordered the sirloin classic and I had the prime rib classic dinner. My 10 ounce was a lot bigger than other 10 ounces I’ve had at other locations *cough* yaletown *cough*. Ordered the twice baked potato which is always my favourite part. Ended the meal with the ever famous billy miner pie. Mom also had a cranberry mojito. Being the Asian tiger mom that she is, she was quite surprised how much she enjoyed the drink. She didn’t think she’d be a fan of rum, but she drank every last drop. Our server Richard was fantastic. Super friendly and came to check up on us at the right times. Wasn’t too pushy and didn’t rush us(we were there for over 2 hours!) Overall a great dining experience. Definitely the best Keg location of them all!

After a late dinner tonight with the boy I feel my faith in the keg has been restored. Recently I had a terrible meal at the keg yaletown and I was worried that trend would spread. Luckily my trusty 5 road steak house didn’t disappoint. We started with the tuna tartare off their seasonal menu. Was so fresh and tasted a amazing, only flaw is that they don’t have it year round. For dinner I got the teriyaki sirloin, always cooked perfectly at this location! The boy decided to venture away from steak and got the chicken and ribs. My first thought was«what are you stupid? It’s a steakhouse, it won’t be good». Hate to admit it but I was wrong. Was an amazing chicken breast and fall off the bone tender ribs. Almost made me regret my steak. To finish we couldn’t leave without the classic billy miner pie. Delicious as always. A keg must have regardless of how stuffed you are. Only complaint is the bread… was hard and tasteless and has been the last few times I’ve visited. Some higher ups forsure thought they could save a buck by switching out the sourdough and garlic butter :(

I love the keg chain, they are usually very consistent with their prime ribs and simply the best in the city. Went to this location as we were in richmond. I decided to go either my 2nd favorite cut the New York rib steak done Chicago style rare. The steak came done perfectly Chicago style real nice char on the outside. However for this cut the most important part is the seasoning. Just my luck they forget to season my steak with salt and it just did not hit the spot… Overall everything else was on point. Service was good.
