Amazing smoothies and great grilled cheese. Worth every penny!

I love it!!! I’d come back again for sure!!! I had the jalapeño popper and both me and my friend enjoyed it very much! Highly recommend. :)

Have been meaning to take the kids there for awhile. My first thought was wow. $ 9 for a grilled cheese sandwich? This better be good… I got the kids a home style cut in half since that was cheaper than the $ 6 kids grilled cheese. They still only finished half of the half. I got the Gaia and a $ 3 lemonade and finished half of the sandwich. It was okay. too much grease and cheese for my liking. There were two young girls working that day and they were nice but after handing the cash, and then playing with her hair, she made the sandwiches with no gloves. I know that happens in the back of restaurants all the time but it’s still kinda gross to see.. So if the food handling doesn’t bother you and you LOVE lots of greasy cheesy sandwiches then you will probably like it.

Best grilled cheeses I’ve ever had. Only thing I wish is that there was a larger array of side dishes.

While he’s not a picky eater, an all-​grilled cheese restaurant is right up our kid’s alley. He loves the place, and I agree with him. We’ve been there a few times now and I’ve tried a couple different things (and know what I’m getting next time!), so we’re pretty happy customers. The service is friendly and welcoming. We’ve mainly gone during quieter off-​peak times, but based on our experience I can see the waits getting quite long if we went during a busy time of day.

We saw their food truck at an event but they ran out of food so we headed over to their restaurant only to find all of their prices higher, by about $ 1.00. We were told this was because they have more overhead at the restaurant.
When we arrived we were the only customers and there were two employees. Neither greeted us and we had to wait for service while one employee fixed himself a cup of coffee and added his fixings (cream etc) before we were served.
I asked to use their washroom and was told it was out of service and I could go to the Starbucks down the street. I was told the light did not work, fuse broken, so no light. I have a hard time walking so I was very unimpressed. Even more that when I got to Starbucks I was told there washroom was being cleaned and it would be a 15 minute plus wait. In desperation I went into the phở place next door and they had urine all over their washroom floor and toilet seat, but I was desperate.
Got back to the restaurant and our food arrived. We ordered vanilla milkshakes and grilled cheese (homestyle).
The milkshake came piled with whip cream (no mention in the board and we were not asked) and I feel it took away from the milkshake. The milkshake was super thick and came with a thin straw you could turn blue from trying to suck anything through it.
They promote their lemonade as fresh squeezed but they use artificial colours and flavours for everything but the original. Even the strawberry lemonade is made with syrup despite the misleading freshly squeezed on their boards. Glad I asked but the milkshake also tasted like artificial flavour.
My grilled cheese was so greasy it was dripping grease! I am worried I might be sick from so much grease! The cheese was tasteless and reminded me of Kraft cheese. I would have thought a restaurant building their reputation on «cheese» would have used a more decent cheese since their menu is essentially grilled cheese or hot dogs. When one of the staff hollered over to us asking how everything is I told her mine was dripping in grease. She seemed to not know how to deal with it. No apology, no explanation, no offer to redo sandwich, she just looked stunned like nobody had ever said anything but ok when she asked.
Their concept is good and fun but the quality of their food is very low. If you start with crap ingredients your product will never be elevated beyond crap. I would not eat there again and would never recommend eating there unless you like processed cheese slices and grease.

Had one of their grill d cheese sandwiches at the steveston Sunday market and it was absolutely fantastic ! Can’t wait to try their restaurant !

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars vs 5, is that I’ll have to try it again to know for sure!
Met a friend for a late lunch, so we were the only ones in the place. Sat @ the one teeny tiny table they have outside and had a completely Fantastic Grilled Cheese in the sun. What could be better? The daily special was a Blt w/​Cheddar, my mouth watered just seeing my friend’s.

Came here 3 days ago for a Saturday lunch. I was definitely excited since I love grilled cheese sandwiches. It’s a little store with limited seating on Number 1 and Moncton close to where the McDonald’s used to be.
I had the Gaia which consists of roasted mushrooms, Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, smoked Gouda, roasted garlic butter, on multigrain sourdough for $ 9.95 and a vanilla milkshake $ 4.75.
The milkshake was not bad, but I expected it to be thicker. It seems a little too liquidy. But I guess they way make it makes it easier to suck it up through the straw. I’ve definitely had better.
The Gaia was pretty good, but I have to admit it didn’t live up to my expectations. I feel it has too much going on in order to justify the price. Perhaps multigrain sourdough was not really the best type of bread for the sandwich, I found it would break apart too easily as I was eating it.
Would I be back? Most likely yes, because I love grilled cheese sandwiches but I would probably order a different sandwich next time. Only word of caution, their ventilation isn’t the best, so if you’re dining in, you’re gonna end up smelling like it afterwards.

Grill cheese is a comfort food. Technically I could make this at home, however, they take it to a different level. It’s also good that we have somewhere in Vancouver that serves a true comfort food. When I went it was really really busy. My biggest complaint was there is no GF bread nor cheese alternatives like Daiya. The sandwiches were grilled to perfection better than what I do at home no matter how much practice I get. The customer service was good.

On a Wednesday afternoon I rode down to Richmond. My friend offered to tune up my bike for free so what the hey! He knows his stuff and why pay $ 70 for something I can get for free!
Anyways after the tune up we rode around Richmond for a bit. We ended up looking for a place to have lunch. We rode to Stevenson and discovered Zee’s Grilled Cheese.
Zee’s is a tiny place. It might seat like 20 people at most. Still it’s got a homey feel to it. On the overhead boards Zee’s lays out their daily specials for the week. Wednesday was a chicken with caramelized onions grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich comes with cheese and broccoli soup.
Overall, pretty darn good! The sandwich was really good! Crunchy, creamy, and gooey! There’s was plenty of flavour and filling… and the chicken and onion was perfect flavour mix.
I would definitely come back to Zee’s to try some of their other offerings. I wonder what else they can do with a grilled cheese sandwich!

It took me a month to write this and I’m sad to announce that they are no longer there!
What happened? I discovered this place and now they’re gone. CLOSED! NO! Ignore what I wrote. They’re still open! Yay!

Great flavours (yes, I understand grilled cheese isn’t that complex), clean, great location. Will be back for sure!!!

The Fave grilled cheese sandwich was nice and crispy on the outside, and filled with soft gooey cheese, a sriracha butter concoction, and sliced apples. Really flavourful with a bit of heat and a nice texture from the apples. Yum!
Took about 15 minutes to get my sandwich, but I guess these sandwiches are a labour of love.

I’m onboard with anything cheese. Mac and cheese, cauliflower cheese, cheese pizza. My first stop on a Portland food truck road trip was a grilled cheese bus! At two of my coworkers’ suggestion, I hustled my bustle down to Zee’s one rainy afternoon with my dad. From what I can see, word-​of-​mouth is really propelling them.
Given they had just opened, I didn’t take too much notice in the mismatched décor and slightly messy floor. Sure enough, when I walked past about a month later the place looked fantastic — put together and clean. The chalk menu board is both artistic and legible. Great!
I went for a classic, plain grilled cheese and my dad opted for the Santa Fe. Both of us enjoyed our sandwiches (though he ate both paper cones of chips as I wasn’t keen on those) and lemonade. The drinks were a bit on the pricey side, but the grilled cheeses were good value. Very filling!
Overall, good experience! Every time I go by they look a little better, and I really hope they last in Steveston. Friendly, great for cravings and has delivery. Definitely pop in and give them a try!

The Cubana, Gaia, and Santa Fe are my favorite gourmet grilled cheeses.
Cubana’s just so meat-​filled and saucy (sriracha butter) with lots of cheese makes it so delish. Definitely a must try.
If you’re looking for a classic try the Gaia or Santa Fe. It will never disappoint when looking for a healthy, delicious comfort food.
Try it out for yourselves, they serve plenty of different styles of food and beverages that taste oh so good.

Great grill cheese sandwiches for the go

This place fulfilled my cravings for something savory, especially anything cheesy. I went there with an empty stomach and was very satisfied after devouring a cheesy Santa Fe sandwich accompanied with their soup of the day (the soup was creamy tomato).
I’d definitely will be returning to try their other grilled cheese sandwiches.

Wow! This new place in Steveston is my new lunch time go-​to place. The owners welcome you in and are quick to help you if you need to know anything. Its a great vibe. Now to the food. All I can say is deliciousness. The great selection of grilled cheese makes it hard for you to pick. My favorite was the FAVE! Its the best homemade grilled cheese I have ever had. They also have other choices like butterchicken, humus and dip or samosas. Can’t wait to try all of the things on their menu :)
