Orient Express has been committed to provide Saint John and Rothesay the best Chinese food since 1982, and is usually the first place most Saint Johnners and Rothesay residents think of when they think «Chinese Food.»
Our history dates back to our first beautiful Uptown location in Market Square, where the food court (now where the NB Museum resides) used to be.
We then moved to Rothesay Avenue, where we spent almost a decade serving our loyal followers, coupled with new fans passing by Rothesay Avenue.
We are now located in Rothesay, where we’ve provided a refreshing, fresh take on Chinese food. While we no longer have a dining area, our food is cooked with the same care and consistency that we’ve been providing for over 30 years.

The secret of preparing great tasting Chinese food is to start with only the freshest of wholesome ingredients, to use only the finest exotic herbs and spices, and to ensure that the final dish is served fresh and hot.
This is what Orient Express Take-Out Restaurant promises with each and every dish we prepare and serve as we know that this is what makes for the happiest customer. To ensure our commitment, all employees and staff follow guidelines provided by the Certified Food Service Manager Program.
We are proud to offer no unnatural Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) in our cooking and have done so for over two decades. We only use cholesterol free vegetable oil and olive oil. Everything we serve is prepared in a kitchen as clean as you can possibly imagine.
