This is a decent place on Saltspring with a little less of a floofy Saltspringy feel. I guess that’s up to the individual to decide whether that’s something they like or not.
Pros: There’s great oceanfront seating on the deck, a liquor store attached right to it, and nice staff.
Cons: It says «Bistro» on the sign, but you can’t actually get any food (WTF?), the server wanted to educate me on what a Bloody Mary is but then brought me back simply a glass with tomato juice and vodka. Yikes!
All in all, it seems like an A-​OK place to meet some friends and have some drinks. Maybe go a little easier on the whole «false advertising» angle, though.
