Ashfaq’s diversified experience and professional training span twenty-​five years, several continents, and a number of multinationals:

As a Senior Tax Specialist with Spectrum United Mutual Funds, Ashfaq conducted tax research on a variety of individual and corporate issues, and prepared and supervised on average three to four complex corporate tax returns and fifty small corporate returns monthly. As Senior Financial Analyst with Cigna Life Insurance Company of Canada, he supervised a team of senior accountants. He has also worked for Manulife Financial, as a U.S. Tax Accounting Manager, and with many major corporations, notably, Deloitte & Touché, Ernst & Young, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Shell International. In 1999, Ashfaq completed Canada’s most comprehensive and in-​depth tax training course with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada (CICA).
