History
Established in 1988.
In May of 1988 Dr. Heather Stewart opened her feline only practice with the intent to give felines the individualized care that they need. In 2008 the clinic was moved from Scarborough Golf Club Road and Kingston Road in Scarborough, to its current location at Midland and Kingston road. The clinic was custom made to be spacious, comfortable and most importantly dog-free. The quiet and open environment that we provide allows cats to relax and not feel trapped while they wait for the vet, and when they are being examined.

Business Owner
When I was thirteen years old I started taking horseback riding lessons and caring for the horses at the stable. It was then that I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian, and at the time, I wanted to work exclusively with horses. I attended the University of Montréal and graduated in 1982, after which I became an intern at the Ontario Veterinary College from 1983 — 1984, learning about small animal medicine and surgery. After that one year internship I knew that I wanted to work more with small animals rather than horses. Thus, I worked for several more years in small animal practice and surgery, and it was during that time I realized how different cats were and how much specialized care and attention they needed. Therefore, in May 1988 I opened my feline only practice so that I could give felines the individualized care that they need. I find that feline medicine is individual to each cat and is part science, part detective work, and part art.
