History

Established in 2008.

Marie’s passion for helping small and medium sized organizations to function as well as, if not better than, their often larger competitors, led her to take over the reigns of May and Company when its founder, Marilyn (Lyn) May, passed away.

Marie had worked alongside with Lyn for several years and shared her commitment to client loyally. Today Marie continues to build on the traditions that Lyn established many years ago.

At a young age Lyn learned how to work hard and fast to keep up with her older siblings. In 1983 she took a leap to independence and M G May Financial Management Inc. now known as May and Company was born.

Lyn stood by family, friends and clients, and in turn, many stood by her. Clients saw their relationship to be much more than business and stuck with her while she struggled with health issues during her last few years. They wanted to offer her the same high level of friendship and loyalty that Lyn had given to them over the years. Lyn passed away in 2008.

Marie May is the owner of May and Company and as a consultant and advisor, she brings more than fifteen years experience in developing and managing business solutions for businesses and non-​profits.

Marie has her CHRP designation (Canadian Human Resource Professional) and is a source of information, ideas and insight. She helps businesses gain the knowledge and tools they need to support greater productivity. Her energy, commitment and proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues ensures success.
