History
Established in 1996.
Knowing that there was a limited choice of accommodation in this very interesting area, we asked our architect, Will Richard, to plan our new house with B and B in mind (1987).
We opened with one room in 1996, and found that we enjoyed doing B and B even more than we had thought, so developed a second room and guest area. When our children left home, that created more B and B space, although we do miss their help with the housekeeping.
At the same time, we have year by year created a beautiful yard, added a spacious 2-storey deck and hot tub, and honed our cooking skills.
It has been our pleasure to welcome into our home guests from all over the world, as well as the rest of Canada. They have enriched our lives with their presence, their experience and their conversation. We are indeed blessed to have known so many interesting people, however briefly.

Business Owner
A former high school teacher, I have always loved travelling and meeting people from different places. The bed and breakfast brings the world into our home, and I am so grateful for the many insights into other places and cultures that our guests have brought to us.
I speak French and a smattering of German and Spanish, all of which are useful in helping guests feel at home.
My husband Rob assists with the many tasks of the Bed and Breakfast, and our two grown children keep us informed of ways in which we might improve…
We are pleased to belong to the Manitoba Bed and Breakfast Co-operative, which sets standards of comfort, cleanliness, safety and hospitality. I am currently the marketing chair of this association and enjoy my involvement with other B and B owners in promoting the industry here in Manitoba.
