Just to be clear this was the A&W at the Sherwood park mall The service was really shitty for me, the cashier gave me 3 dollars of change all in nickels and dimes, then when I was given my food the burger and fries had both been thrown into the bag separately from their individual bags. Then when I went to sit in the food court to eat I saw the cashier watching me intently for a reaction, then alternating from watching me and looking at his phone. The food wasn’t warm either, and the ketchup packet thrown into the mix had some sort of goo on the side of it.

Standard«A and dub» fare, in a convenient, yet well delivered, gas station format. It seemed somewhat apparent that the staff was as fresh as the establishment. They were pleasant… but a little lost. Food was in keeping with any other outlet. I found the«flavor of the month», the Mushroom Mozza Burger, to be a little too saucey, and perhaps a bit too salty. My Teen Burger. …everything it should be. Quite tastey. Will I be back… sure. But as with any genuine fast food outlet… I’ll be in a hurry when I am.

The food here is give and take. I ordered 2 burgers without onions and pickles and was actually told that I was adding more work for the person who has to prepare them. I was then told to next time order them and just pick off the unwanted toppings afterwards. I was made to feel like crap for modifying my order. If that employee is working if we ever go back, I won’t be stopping at that location. The food is good, I’ll give them that but their service sucks.

This is the Sherwood Park mall A&W location and in terms of food court standards it definitely met the requirements for 4 stars in my opinion. The staff were really nice and seemed quite happy which is always a big thing for me. It always puts a smile on my face to see staff enjoying their jobs and makes me feel great about spending my money there. The food was typical A&W fare that you would expect no matter what location your at. I must say though both times I ate here I definitely noticed how much nicer the food looks versus the locations I have ate at in Edmonton. I usually get the chubby chicken wraps and they were stuffed really well and actually rolled properly so they looked like wraps and not something that was thrown together haphazardly. The sweet potato fries were also great and they fill the chipolte mayo cups to the brim here which is refreshing as im used to skimpy portion sizes of the delicious dip. It’s not the kind of place you go out of your way to stop at but if you are in the mall and enjoy A&W food it’s a great place to stop and it also has one of the shorter lines in the foodcourt if you happen to be stopping in around lunch hour.
