Albert’s Family Restaurant

I ate here when this Alberta first opened and I was very impressed. The food was good. Eating their more recently I can’t give the same review.
The food took 40 minutes to come out which is always a bad sign. My three year old had Mac n’ cheese that looked a week old, it was sticky and dry. My other sons enjoyed their hamburgers an didnt have any complaints but teen boys aren’t easily swayed when it comes to food! The fries were old and tasted like they were reheated. Yam fries were uncooked and tasted like they had freezer burn. My own Reuben sandwich was soggy and not what I would expect of even a half decent sandwich. I had ceasar salad with it with wilted lettuce and too much dressing.
The restaurant is clean and the service was okay but not enough to earn this restaurant a three star as the food was that bad. I hope they pick it up in the kitchen…

There are a few things that are just plain terrific about this location.
1. The owners — Rima and Joe are friendly, hard working and they always remember a face.
2. Gluten-​free selection — if you ask, they will provide a gluten free bun for your hamburger! My daughter loves this place just for that.
3. Breakfast all day — need I say more?

Old fashioned «diner-​style» comfort food in a local mall. Great, super friendly staff!
