I’ve always had friendly wonderful service. The food is nothing special, I prefer my own breakfast to it honestly, but my daughter loves it and since there’s never a wait it’s well worth it for a relaxing breakfast out.

Cora’s has become my son’s and my favorite place to sneak off to for breakfast before«the girls» wake up. That being said. if my daughter stirs early enough… she is always excited to tag along. Even before the kids started joining me, I must say one of my favorite ways to start the day was to be here at openning for a hearty breakfast. Because of the early nature of all our visits however… we never really experience the zoo that this place becomes later in the morning, and the sevice is always good. Food is consistant. Ironically… I often find the obliguatory«pile of fruit» is occasionally not of the highest quality. Of all the times I have eaten here(over 20 I’m sure), i have only had poor food once. I complained. It was replaced and I didn’t pay for it. As it should be. Amazing…no. Hearty breakfast. Yes. But I’ll be back. I just can’t get enough of their eggs beni!

The wait here was atrocious. Like really bad to sit then for food. I LOVE Cora but this location maybe needs to get it together. They gave my friend someone elses food then took it back a couple minutes later. I do love the quality of food. The fruit is always on point. The new menu is a bit overwhelming. If you go all the time its probably a nice change. The water and coffee were never more then half empty so whoever was in charge of that they get a gold star!

My friend and I had to make a quick trip out to Sherwood Park this morning and we were feeling quite hungry come like lunch time. Upon arrival we were greeted by quite possibly the most chipper and cheerful hostess I’ve ever encountered. Almost over the top but actually genuine… Made me think of a SNL Parody for some reason! Never the less, it was a great way to start our experience. We were told our servers name(which I now forget… I think it was Shawn?). He greeted us with a smile and offered us some beverages. He told us what the fruit juice cocktail of the day was and went off to fetch our drinks. By the time he came back we still hadn’t decided what we wanted so he gave us a little more time. Once we were ready he came right over and took our order. Wasn’t long before our food arrived. It was delivered by two lovely ladies, describing our dishes and not auctioning them off! Beautiful and fresh as always. I don’t really have much to say as its so consistent here. Always perfect, always hot and always fresh! Not one complaint regarding the food… Absolutely delicious! When it came time for our bill we waited, and waited and waited some more… Stacked our plates and put them at the edge of our table and well… Waited some more! We could see our server and he walked by our table NUMEROUS times. Clearly busy but it takes a second to drop off a bill. We eventually asked another server if she could grab it for us. Our server came over within moments and handed us our bills. :-) Service here isn’t bad, just slow when it comes time for the bill. Maybe he should have asked for some help if he was falling behind! I will likely be back as I do really enjoy Cora’s!

Not sure if they have the Renovation Blues or not — but today’s experience was terrible! First they made my wife throw out her Tim Hortons steeped tea before she was seated(I guess so she could buy the crappier, more expensive«Chez Cora» version… Lots of water — but only one measly tea bag!). Ordered an omelette and her options for sides: potatoes. Or tomatoes. Because, you know, that makes sense. So she added on a «ramekin of fruit». For $ 3.50. More like«a meager offering of fruit». 2 strawberries, a slice of kiwi and a few grapes. Needless to say for a little bit more she could have had the buffet at the Fairmont. That’s about it for us — the ridiculous wait times used to be worth the great food and above-par service. Now not so much. Hope this is just an off day for them!

Food was good, our waitress Brandy was horrid. No checking on how we were, no refills on coffee or water, forget trying to ask for something as she was the queen of 1 word answers. Would I go there again, NO. Go to the Coras in Edmonton instead

Just had a good breakfast! Eggs Benny with a ton of fruit! Gets very busy very quickly. The price was a little expensive but I would definitely go back as a treat!

I am a big fan of Cora’s I know people seem to be fairly divided on it, but at the end of the day there is one thing for certain and there is always a crazy line up on the weekends. I never have a problem waiting 15 – 20 minutes because they do a good job moving people through. The staff are always friendly, which I know I wouldn’t be having to deal with that many people in the morning. I love the food, I always get the Panini –Crêpe and have always devoured it. I love all the fruit as well. Plus the daily fruit cocktail is a must have.

I have held off on writing this update for a long time — I absolutely love the idea behind Cora‘s! Piles of fresh fruit decorating interestingly colourful breakfast concoctions. Sadly, fresh is not always the case; and waiting in a tiny crowded entranceway for 20+ minutes every single time is pretty standard here. It took me FOREVER to convince the BF to stand in line with me to try this place out(I had been once or twice before, but he had not). It took even longer for both our blood pressures to drop enough for us to try and enjoy our meal after the ridiculous wait(personal space advocate or not; jamming that many people into that small of a space is just NOTCOOL!). Breakfast is one of those meals you like to sit, relax, and enjoy. Not here! Everything is rush, Rush, RUSH… our server seemed so overly busy that she could barely stop to take a breath, let alone show us the attentiveness we deserved(AKA what you would expect for the prices you are paying). Although the food was decent, the fruit was way over ripe! So to top of the not so great experience, I was also made to feel like the worst GF ever for dragging him out to try(against his better judgement), and then having to watch him doubled over with excruciating stomach pain for the rest of his Saturday. Sorry Cora‘s but I think it will be some time(at least) before we meet again!

The staff here is always really friendly, the portions are big, and most importantly the food is excellent. I always bring family here when they visit for breakfast and brunch.

This breakfast nook Definitely lived up to the hype for my husband and I! It was totally not expensive as people have complained about or claimed. Unless you are going to A&W(which we do like as well from time to time), the prices match… but what you get is above and beyond. The fruit alone makes it worthy… but the food was excellent too! Our server Jacks was soooo friendly and kind. Go go go! ;)

I was really REALLY excited to check out Cora as I had heard so many positive things from fairly health conscious people. I decided to go on a Saturday for brunch. I went solo as I do enjoy dining by myself sometimes and people watching and enjoying some quiet with my thoughts. I was seated promptly and was excited to check out the menu. A server came by shortly and took my drink order. I ordered green tea which arrived quickly. I was never given water and I am not sure if this is something I was supposed to ask for or if it was missed. As I browsed their menu, I decided to throw the«healthy brunch» goal out the door. Ham and Cheddar crêpe Panini with Hollandaise and a mound of fruit looked extremely appealing. I ordered the dish and expected to wait a while as the restaurant was very busy. My food arrive fast. Maybe a bit too fast. The crêpe itself was barely heated up(I am assuming they are not fresh made) and the egg inside the crêpe was cold, yet somehow the ham in the middle was warm, however none of it was by any means hot. This concerned me a bit as food needs to be at a certain temperature in restaurants to be considered«safe», and I didn’t see how this could meet those requirements. Remembering though that I have eaten far worse while traveling, and being a firm believer in not wasting food, I dug in. I had taken about two bites before I realized something was missing. The dish had a good amount of salt to it with the ham and cheese, but it was missing something to balance it out. and then I realized what it was… the Hollandaise sauce! I was REALLY looking forward to the Hollandaise sauce and it was completely forgotten! Not there, not even a drop, definitely missing. My server never came by again to see how my meal was. The fruit was very good and fresh, but the crêpe made me seriously sad. I may check out another location to see if this was specific to this location, however I have crossed Cora off my «places to have a nice brunch» list as I think cooking food in a restaurant is a bare minimum expectation.

I don’t know why there’s so much Cora’s hate here. I quite liked this restaurant. I’ve been to Cora’s on the southside before and I know there’s usually a line. If there’s a line go in, and put your name in for a table. With just my friend and I we only had to wait about ten minutes to get seated, which isn’t that long. If you’re visiting with a larger party it may take more time. Whenever I go here I always have a hard time debating what to get. Although I love the fruit smoothies I started with a mochacinno because I really needed a coffee. Unlike one of my fellow Unilocalers I did get whip(and quite a bit) on mine. The drink was good, but very sweet. Then it’s the debate between something savoury, like the eggs benedict or something sweet like the raspberries for lucie crêpe. I went with sweet and got the crêpe with banana and nutella and whipped cream on top. There’s just one crêpe but it’s huge and very delicious. It’s rather sweet and I also ordered a side of bacon which was pretty good. But it was so much food. I always forget that when I go to Cora’s, you get a lot of food. The only bad thing was we got seated at a booth first, which I found very squished. If you like a bit of space make sure to request a table. Luckily our server came back and asked if we wanted to moved to a table, so we did. Sherwood Park is a bit out of the way for me, so I can’t say I’d come back to this location right away. However; if you’re in Sherwood Park or on the east side of the city it’s pretty easy to get to and good spot for breakfast/brunch.

My first time and was skeptical to even go after hearing two polarized views. I get in the door and meet total awkwardness… being stared at next to the«Please wait to be seated» sign. Ordered the 4th of July: crepes, french toast and fresh fruit. The crepes were obviously pre made and frozen, with very chewy texture and dry ends. Yuck. Only saving grace was fresh fruit on top. Put your money to better use at another joint or make breakfast yourself. Not worth the visit.

This was my third time to a Cora restaurant. Same atmosphere inside, but it just seemed lacking compared to the one’s in Edmonton. First there wasn’t an animal fruit display like we saw in the South Edmonton location when you walk in. The North Edmonton location at least had a fruit display even if they weren’t shaped like animals. This location had nothing. Seating took awhile because the hostess really took her time, so table sat empty for the longest time. It also seemed as though(and I may be wrong here) some people were getting seated ahead of others because they knew the hostess. In particular one group of four(looked like grandparents with their grandkids) were seated almost immediately upon arriving and were on a first name basis with the hostess. Our waitress was friendly. However we had to ask repeatedly for water before she finally complied. We were also ready to order when she took our drink order but she rushed off before we could order our food. The food was delicious as always. I had a mochaccino which I’ve had a different location. There was no whip, and it wasn’t all that great(in fact it was almost a chore to drink it). We all ordered bacon as a side, and I was a little disappointed to notice that 2 out of 3 of us had 4 strips of bacon while the third only received 3 pieces. Overall, I wouldn’t come back to this location. I love Cora, but this location could do better I think.
