This privately-run ski hill on the east edge of the city has the best range of terrain of the local hills. The back runs down to the river are about as good as it gets in a city. The bunny hill faces the lodge and there are lots of windows for parents to watch their beginners take lessons. The facilities are not fancy and the canteen serves the usual burgers, fries and kid friendly food. Be aware that the only road into the place crosses a rail line that can be blocked, sometimes for quite a while. So if you have lessons booked, be sure to arrive early.

I brought my 4 year old daughter here last week with her cousin for their very first ski lessons. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. The prices were reasonable and the equipment we received was maintained perfectly. We were lucky to have perfect weather! I noticed they have tubing nights but kiddos have to be at least 7 years old :-( I will write an update after we have been a few times. PS — You are welcome to bring your own food and it’s a good idea because their food was EXPENSIVE! $ 15 for chicken fingers(3), fries, and a drink.
