Awesome place! Flew in with a group of friends a few nights ago. I got a landing burger that was terrific! The staff was really efficient. We were a group of 5 on a tight schedule, but they manage to expedite our food. I’ll definitely be back!

This great spot just added breakfast hours, opens early and the food is top notch. Loved the heuvos rancheros!

Had dinner the night before at the Waterfront Fairmont. Must say that Matt at Beacon Landing was fantastic. Knew the menu and our dinner was better at the Beacon than at the Fairmont. Had the Wild Salmon and Seafood Risotto and dry ribs. Absolutely pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Looking forward to dinner tomorrow night.

This restaurant is terrible! We’ve been there twice now once for lunch and the second time with a large group for a Christmas party and both visits were awful. The food is below par, we ordered the calamari and it had absolutely no flavour some deep fried bits weren’t event squid. The sweet sauce with it was terrible and just tasted sweet. The lettuce wraps were awful as well, I’ve never had ground beef served in a lettuce wrap. The service was also really bad! Our drinks were never refilled, food arrived cold, and they couldn’t keep the bills organized. Some people were charged for drinks they never gotten and desserts that weren’t ordered. To top it all off they started handing out the bills before we had even asked for them, and we were planning on staying longer and ordering more items as a group. We will never return to this place it was horrible!

Best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. Absolutely amazing food and the staff made us feel like family. I had the seafood risotto and it was an 11⁄10. Probably a top 10 dish of my life. Wife had the scallops… absolutely amazing. Please don’t go before you have the crème brûlée!!! The super friendly chef chatted with us for a while and let us know that they are a scratch kitchen. Great experience!!!

I was in the area for work this past week. I was told I had to try this place’s food before I left. Unfortunately, it was only 10:30. I went anyway. I got the ‘brussel sprout’ chop dish. Wow was it ever good. It was like a cobb salad with the lettuce replaced with brussell sprouts. Even as not hungry as I was, I still polished the whole thing off. The only reason my review isn’t 5 stars is because I really didnt have a full meal, just this appetizer dish. I’m sure everything there is amazing though. Also, the view from the patio is incredible!

Food was really good. We had the special of a tilapia sandwich and the landing salad. So good!!! We will definitely go back if we are ever in Sidney. It has the most gorgeous view of Mt Baker and the harbor.

Beautiful view and very tasty food. We enjoyed a very nice lunch at this restaurant. We had a sirloin burger with salad and the lamb sliders. My Mom raved about the salad that came with the meal and really liked the burger as well. My lamb sliders were terrific. My only comment is that it would be great if they made homemade fries, as everything was made from scratch. Overall a nice place and we would come back.

Very tasty gluten free quinoa vegetable burger with fries. Cooked perfectly. Extra tasty with the aioli and beets on the bun! Very filling, packed half of it to go.

Olive oil poached halibut was perfection. Always wanted to try oil poached halibut. Susan’s beef ribs were fall off the bone delicious. BBQ Demi-glaze was perfection. Cozy ambience with a Sidney Spit water view.

I see some may have had a better experience but this place was way under par. Lazy, snotty server and service. Don’t waste your time on this place.

Booked a very special(we thought) Christmas lunch. Confirmed price twice, when booking and when reconfirming, $ 40 per person. The manager of this establishment clearly did not get what she wanted for Christmas. We mentioned the veggies were cold and she literally said, «if you don’t like it, leave». I know very hard to believe. The bill came and it was $ 48.50 per person. I queried it and she demanded to know who quoted us $ 40 as she was going to fire her in the spot. Yikes! She was not being funny. She was miserably serious. Wrecked our dinner. We normally love this restaurant. Now I’m not so sure I ever want to return.

I have used Unilocal for some years now, but never felt the need to sign up. Until now. We begin with a gin martini that only half fills the glass. Huh. Not a great start. Some bars have small pours, but usually they just give you a small glass. What a disappointment. Then the oysters. Skeletal. The ponzu buried what little flavor there was. But not enough to prevent noticing that you had to fish tiny slivers of shell out of your mouth. Then the soup of the day. An attractive sounding double smoked bacon and chicken. With. No. Bacon. And. No. Chicken. Brothy with veggies. This meal was going downhill fast. But let’s not forget the live garden mollusk in the salad. Antennae moving and all. They were properly apologetic, but said that it had happened before as well. Huh? They comped nothing. I left a zero tip. Worst meal since the Berlin TV Tower restaurant 10 years ago

Great location off the Sidney pier, but marked up prices as a result! We came here for brunch with friends and the place was pretty empty for a weekend. The menu is your standard fare with salads, burgers and sandwiches with some brunch specials. There’s a bit more of a seafood focus. Hubby had one of their pizzas which was pretty average and I had their breakfast salad, which was a choice of meat or smoked salmon, poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, and hash browns on top of a salad. It wasn’t bad, but definitely not worth the $ 17 I paid for it! Service is okay and atmosphere is nice, especially with the water views. I personally enjoyed the 3rd street café much better for brunch in town.

Got out of the rain to find this waterfront pub for Sunday lunch… I ordered the roasted portobello mushroom sandwich($ 13.00) on rye with the soup of the day. The bread was a light swirl rye perfectly toasted. The portobello and red pepper were nicely roasted with balsamic vinegar — the sandwich finished with cheddar cheese, mayo, lettuce and flavourless tomato(but it is winter). Still I liked this well-stuffed sandwich overall; it will be 4-star in summer if using local thick sliced fresh tomatoes. .. maybe fresh made pesto over mayo too. Ron ordered the wild boar, kangaroo, and elk sliders($ 14) with fries. While the sliders were carefully prepared looking and skewered, he couldn’t differentiate between the meat flavours. He said they were still lean and tasty. The fries were small portion, old, mushy tasting. Service was above-average. Views to the ocean. You can get the same menu on the other side of the venue, which is a restaurant allowing children.

A very solid, seaside pub along the pretty Sidney water front. It’s a clean, bright pub– the kind of place you could take your mother out to lunch at. We stopped here for a late lunch, and were both impressed! We shared the curry prawns– a mild yellow coconut curry– very good. Good service, nice view, and a varied menu.

For lunch, I thought that Beacon was absolutely fine for their sandwiches. The cajun fish burger was delicious and so was the side salad that came with the sandwich. For the outside views, being able to sit on the patio, and a good sandwich, paying a few buck extra to be lounge in the sun was worth the extra $ 1 – 2 prices for the sandwiches. For an outside patio lunch, I’d recommend.

Bonus points as it doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not. It’s a pub with solid pub food, everyone thought the food was pretty good, nothing great, but a solid effort. Prices to quality to portion size however didn’t add up. Felt like all dishes were $ 2-$ 3 over priced or under-sized. While in Sidney option are somewhat limited, however I think next time we’ll look harder for something else. While it’s not a complete miss, just felt average with above average prices.

Amazing food, great view, the yam fries are to die for! You can sit outside on a nice day and enjoy the view of the waterfront. Overall the food was surprisingly good and we would absolutely return if we actually lived here.

I had halibut and chips here… just for the halibut.(sorry, I can never resist cheesy)… I went here after an afternoon/evening of fishing with a couple customers. We didn’t catch anything, but I did get to steer the boat for a while so all was well. I ordered the halibut because that’s what I had hoped to catch… it was excellent! Atmosphere was so-so, could have had more personality for my liking, but I was happy with it anyways. Price was higher than you’re average fish n chips also, but as I said, was certainly tasty.
