Before becoming a REALTOR®, Barry experienced a broad range of practical life situations. He grew up in Montréal with 5 brothers and sisters. Later, over a 20-​year period, he served in the Canadian Armed Forces in numerous locations including Germany, Cyprus, Alert, and most of the Canadian provinces. Through his travels and work in many different places, he learned the importance of working with people to build trust, a quality that serves him well every day in the business world.

Barry retired from the military in 1996 as a Structural Technician and began transferring his job skills to the renovation of real property for personal and investment purposes. Those occupations contribute to his skills and success in real estate. He often applies those skills to help his clients ready their homes for the market in order to get the best price, or to help his buyer clients assess the value of properties they are considering.
