Pearl’s 2nd’s

Ask any Squamish resident and you’ll be directed to Pearl’s to get kitchen items, furniture, clothing and even electronics at one time or another. If you have time to hunt and go through the extremely packed Pearl’s, you will definitely come across a gem or two. Once, I got a pair of Nike running shorts in perfect condition for a fraction of the original price. Another time, I got some unused/​new condition Starbucks double walled flasks for under $ 5, no jokes.
Among the chaos, there is organization, but even then, be prepared to sift through the items.
Enjoy this place whenever you’re in Squamish, it’s a great thrift shop that donates its proceeds to the Howe Sound Women’s Shelter.

I am giving this place another star based on a return visit. In October stock is pretty low in Whistler, but this place had plenty to choose from.
They had some of useful dressers and a couple tables. They appeared to have less art, but some of what they did have was nice. I saw a couple really nice fall themed oil paintings. I don’t know why, but people don’t seem to like paintings anymore. I have seen an a lot of them in thrift stores. Some are better than others, and the two I saw here were excellent. They would be nice for someone doing a fall seasonal theme for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
They had a lot of clothes too, but I am, apparently, smaller than your average women in Squamish. I am also really picky with thrift clothing. I notice a lot of people sell their clothes here in BC, while in the flatlands most people donate them. I think it may be more productive probably look for bargains online, instead of at thrift stores here.
I think the store could actually be bigger because it was really «stuffed» with stuff. I saw more prices on things, which is helpful. My impression is that they were having some trouble keeping up with the donations. I heard a woman say they were not taking donations the last time she stopped by recently.
Money raised by this store is goes to the Howe Sound Women’s Shelter, a worthwhile charitable organization. I am now a fan” and I think it’s worth a look, if you are near downtown Squamish.
