History

Established in 2004.

Dr. Mar moved to Edmonton in 2004 to take over his newly acquired orthodontic practice in St. Albert. In 2014, Mar Orthodontics celebrated its tenth anniversary and opened a second location in Sherwood Park.

Dr. Ly T M.

Business Owner

Dr. Ly T. Mar is recognized for his leadership, knowledge and notable experience in lingual orthodontics (hidden braces). He strives to provide exceptional lingual orthodontic treatment to adults and adolescents on a daily basis.

Dr. Mar co-​founded the Edmonton Orthodontic Study Club in 2011 where he teaches orthodontic academic concepts and discusses case studies with general dentists who want to increase their orthodontic knowledge and practice within their general practice.

In 2012, Dr. Mar initiated the Lingual Orthodontic Clinic at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry’s School of Dentistry. This type of clinic is the first of its kind among North American universities. Dr. Mar leads the teaching and clinical training of the lingual orthodontic treatment program to post-​graduate orthodontic students.
