Servus Credit Union Place

The location is easy to get to and there was enough parking both times I was there. The first time we walked in the front door and got a glimpse of those enjoying the swimming area. It looked like a fun place! There was a sports store, Starbucks, and Booster Juice. For those looking for a more substantial sit down meal, there’s a restaurant upstairs too.
I’ve been here a few times. The first time for Eek Fest where there were a few of the large fieldhouses were transferred to booths for those to shop and play at, and one of the arenas had the Lego display. The next visit was more recent for the Rock n’ August concert to see Chilliwack and Loverboy in the Go Auto arena. We went upstairs and I liked it was spacious and not too crowded with people lined up to get it and congregating outside the arena. There’s seating and washrooms are clean.
Inside the arena, they were selling liquor on the concourse and ice level. They had popcorn for sale but only on the ice level so I had to walk down the steps. The steps are narrow so glad I didn’t have high shoes on to maneuver up and down them. There were a lot of seats available so we ended up seating ourselves where it wasn’t crowded to watch the show. In between acts, we went out on the concourse. There were a few people working out and gym looked decent.
The staff working the concert were nice and informed us there were 2 doors we could go in for the concert. We enjoyed the show and had a good time. Would come back if they have another concert here.

My daughter begs to go here all the time. She has so much fun at the pool and indoor playground. As a family, we also really enjoy our time here. I also attend an annual convention here, which the venue handles pretty well. My only complaint is the daily rate, $ 15.50 for just my daughter and I. The monthly rates are still pretty high, but if you manage to go a few times a week it is worth it.

It’s a great place to go when you’re in need of a close gym in St Albert. Friendly staff, clean facilities (although the changerooms can get a bit smelly at times), friendly people — for the most part (you will find ‘bro’ types at just about any gym, tho!).
Only complaint is quite a bit of the equipment seems to have been going ‘Out of Order’ lately. Maybe it’s because it’s a busy summer gym season? Who knows. It’s a little dissapointing having the Jacob’s Ladder crap out after 3 minutes because it was not charged up, or seeing at least 3 of the exercise/​cardio machines down at a time lately.
I’ll keep going to Servus. It’s the same price as any other gym but month-​to-​month available (no fishy contracts!), and there’s enough equipment to get me by – although I wish there was a little more (inner thigh machine, not having kettlebells constantly locked up) but I realize that may become a hazard with the size of the facility and all-​ages range.
Would I recommend Servus? Yes! For all ages! Just be curteous to your fellow gym go-​er (please stop texting and chatting on the machines) and put your weights and plates away when you’re done. None of that is the staff’s fault tho, they do a great job here!

Excellent facility! Friendly and helpful gym staff that greet me with a smile and ask about my progress :) You guys make my days.

I have been going to drop in classes on Monday and Wed eve at Servus Place .
This drop in classes starts at 545 – 645.
The instructor’s name is Gina well if you want a workout come to these classes.
I am so hook on these classes she does i wish there was on one a Fri eve.

I was very impressed by the workout facilities here. The drop in rate is very affordable. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Everything is clean and in good repair. I was even able to get a bandaid when my dry finger cracked and started bleeding. It’s well organized and there was a good cross-​section of people working out. Not pretentious at all. Very relaxed atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

My fav place to hit up a class or go for a run. They have stations set up on the side of the track so you can spin, do stairs, do weights, hit the mat for some abs, whatever you wish! For 50 bucks a month, it’s well worth it if you actually go everyday. The equipment in the gym is iPhone compatible. The only place I dislike is the workout studio. Whenever we have 30 people crunched into that room, it’s like 100 degrees of nastiness. Luckily most of the classes we take are in gym 3. ;)

Servus has such a great pool and indoor waterpark. The staff are very friendly too.

This is a very nice place for families, that offers a wonderful water-​park, and lots of basketball gym/​courts space. Their membership price packages are very good, and they are worth for the swimming alone. (for a family)
Now that being said, I wouldn’t recommend it for a serious gym minded individual. The gym floor space is tiny, very few machines, and anytime I went there it was extremely busy. If you only do cardio, it is great though, never run out of cardio equipment, but the weight equipment is minimal. It’s a sub-​par gym, but for ok for an occasional user doing mostly cardio workouts.

This facility is fantastic. They have a wonderful indoor water park that is never closed to the public. The indoor playground is perfect in the winter. The gym is well maintained, clean and ecstatically pleasing. The indoor running/​walking track is perfect for training, cool down and sprinting. With two ice rinks, two indoor soccer fields and two basketball courts I see people playing all the time. The leisure rink which has two bouncy castles in the summer is perfect for the little ones. My only complaint is the open concept showers in the pool area are not my cup of tea. The gym showers are a button you press and gives you 30 seconds of water. It’s kinda annoying. But other then that I love this gym. I also love the membership options. You can buy month to month or sign contract for a discount. They have a couple of options for the contracts and the annual gives you the best bank for your buck. Their child minding is also a great option for parents. I have used it and it was perfect.

Servus is a great facility. There is loads to do and a great place to keep fit; especially in the winter! I’m a huge fan :)

Recently visit Servus Credit Union Place again after they just updated their swimming area and put in new murals.
Unfortunately, somebody had an AFR (Accidental Fecal Release) and the swimming had to be cut short :-(
I did hear them offering any non-​members the option to be refunded at the front desk which I thought was good customer service (not something you always see these days!)
They have new water toys for the kidlets, everything has been freshly cleaned, and new murals on the walls.
They close down every year for 2 weeks for regularly scheduled maintenance and upkeep — they try to have it coincide with the St. Albert International Children’s Festival.
Servus pool — we are so glad to have you back!
FYI — The family ice rink (the small one) is now closed for the summer and for maintenance. It will reopen in the fall — the meantime be sure to check for open ice times if you’re brining your kidlets skating!

Fun and fitness all in one location! Access to a water play center, leisure ice, fitness and wellness center, track and training center, and a children’s playground is available to everyone with daily admission (monthly and annual memberships are available).
I have been attending Servus Place a minimum of five times a week for eight months now and have nothing but positive experiences. The gym has ample equipment, the employees are always friendly, and the facility is clean. The drop-​in fitness classes are offered with everyone in mind. Different fitness levels are accommodated in all classes and the instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable. These classes can get very busy and often fill up so sometimes I wish there were more classes offered in a week. Another downside is that there are no early morning drop-​in classes so if you work a regular work week your options are even more limited.
An added bonus is in the last month the facility has upgraded lots of the fitness center equipment including (but not limited to) the body bars, cardio machines, steps, mats, and resistance bands. It is always nice to not worry about the equipment breaking, or not working properly, or generally being old. I think sometimes I take that for granted because equipment is never a concern.
Servus Credit Union Place offers the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a no-​commitment all around fitness center in north-​west Edmonton.

I LOVE this place!!! It has absolutley everything you can imagine in a recretional facility! I have nothing negative to say about servus place.
