Sashimi and service were great but the ‘chef’ should be cleaning toilets rather than doing anything with food — doesn’t know how to season, tempura batter is inconsistent and soggy, all soup taste the same because they remind you of your younger days when you used to eat dirt.

I was in St. Catherines Monday and I’m glad found it. Great food and good atmosphere. Sushi was awesome and I’m looking forward to going again.

This place was really good for AYCE. The best part was the friendly service. We didn’t have access to Unilocal before we went here so we tried it on a whim. I am glad I didn’t read those negative reviews.

Sushi, Ai(ght)? Actually, in my opinion this place is more than just«aight». I was actually so surprised by the two negative reviews before mine. It’s probably a good thing I didn’t read them beforehand or else I would have been disgusted. Perhaps the restaurant has changed since then, because when I came here the sushi was great! The sashimi was really fresh, which is big for me. I believe they advertise themselves as a «creative» sushi place, because they have some neat rolls. It was really refreshing to try some new rolls I’ve never had before. They were delicious! I recommend«Cheese Joy». It was so good, it definitely filled me with joy. I never met the owner but the service was actually really good. Maybe it was just because we went during a non-busy time, but the waitresses were really attentive and sweet. My glass was never empty, neither was my cup of tea, and they are always smiling lol. OH and what’s cool is that they announce every single dish/roll they bring to you. So you know what you’re eating. Currently they have a dinner special going on for $ 20.99! What? That’s ridiculous, most places are usually $ 25 for dinner. Yeah, I am really satisfied with this place. My gf and I were so astonished to read the negative reviews before us, but who knows, they must have made some changes since then. Overall, awesome place! They also have a stamp card, where you can collect stamps every time you go in order to eventually earn a free dinner.

I’m actually so surprised by these reviews. I’m glad I didn’t read them before I visited this restaurant because they completely differ from my experience. Went here on a Sunday night when we noticed Pow Wow was closed. If I recall correctly, it was shut down before but it’s open now so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. St Catharine’s sushi is on point! This is another place that serves delicious all you can eat sushi. They are fast too, and probably have the best service of any of the all you can eat sushi places I’ve been to. They were outstanding! They have such nifty rolls with neat names and they tasted really good. My favourite were the ones with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, and the roll called salmon loves lemon. The lemon bits tasted so good with it! I enjoyed every roll we tried. Our glasses were never empty, our plates were always cleared immediately, even our edemame plate was emptied twice. I was impressed. The dessert was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooood. I had 2 deep fried mini mars bars and chocolate and red bean ice cream. My boyfriend and I agree that the deep fried mars bars here are better than the ones at the CNE because they use light, fluffy, delicious tempura batter opposed to the heavy batter they use at the CNE and Kelseys etc. I would definitely come back here. Weekend dinner was $ 22 or $ 23 They have a special on right now for dinner for $ 20.99. SOWORTHIT. The sushi and dessert were delicious!
