Established in 1992.

Twenty years of creating things of beauty out of metal and iron. After a humble beginning in a barn in a Port Kells farm the business has expanded to a modern warehouse complex with a shop of 2000 square feet. If it’s made from metal, we love to help bring people’s visions to life.

Meet the Business Owner

John S.

Business Owner

John Soroka founded Accent Wroght Iron Works in 1992 after an unsatisfying office career. He set up his forge and anvil and never looked back, and always enjoyed his time working with people to create lasting works of art that enhance the beauty of their lives and homes.

Resently, John has began the process of passing on the forge and anvil to the next generation, his good friend and metal smith David Minshall. John and Dave share a passion for the endless creative possibilities and applications for wrought iron work. David is a Canadian red seal certified welder, and has over ten years of professional experience as a welder/​fabricator in various sections of industry. For the past five years Dave has been studying the process of knife making and blade smithing, with keen interest in Damascus steel, and then he has been applying the learned knowladge in his home shop. When the opertunity came up to work beside John at Accent Wrought Iron, Dave was thrilled at the chance to do so.
