used to go here quite a bit in 11th and 12th grade PE class– was part of the curriculum in fact. I grew to prefer 5 pin over 10 due to the fact that I learned that you had better ball control with 5 pin(if you tried some of these techniques on 10, you’d break your wrist!) They updated the place slightly– kindof a shame really; the mid– century feel was part of its charm.

My nephews party was here and it wasn’t great. It was very disorganize and the customer service was terrible. The establishment was not very clean and appeared to be understaffed. They also made a point of «kicking us out» the minute our time was up except that, we were supposed to have the space until 8:45pm and it was not yet, 8:45pm. They had a promotional package which gave an appetizer for $ 10 more but wouldn’t let her change her booking even though it was basically identical to what she already booked. I could understand if she was trying to change the # of people or how long we had the lanes for because that may affect other bookings but to not let her have the $ 10 appetizer? Really? I almost had my sons party here but the service on the phone was so terrible when I called I booked somewhere else. I wish my sister had done the same.

I’m updating my review from our visit last night. Unfortunately our office curling event got kiboshed, so we headed over to Clover Lanes. It was a really busy Saturday night, which was fine. The bowling there is fine, too, and the price for an hour @$ 35 was fine, too. Although with 7 people on a lane it took us 45 minutes to bowl a game. Paying per person would’ve been a little cheaper. The shoes that I got were coming apart at the back, but it was only one game for me, so no biggie. The big deal for me was the food. We got the $ 56 appy platter. Someone in our group asked me how much I paid as we were eating it, and I said $ 50 or so. He said, wow, that’s a decent deal — but he thought I said $ 15. It was just a mess of the worst type of food from frozen you can get. The zuchinni sticks were oily and soggy, the nachos were so plain(chips with a little cheese and olives), a few chicken wings, some pita wedges with cheese(cheesebread), some potato skins, some deep fried chicken surprise(yuck). Overall, overpriced, and just plain disgusting food. Without the food, it’s probably a 4 Star, but the below 1 Star food left a bad taste in our mouths.

We had my son’s soccer wind up party here last night– everything went super smoothly! Great, attentive and organized service, good prices, and good food. The kids had a ton of fun and really enjoyed the Glow bowling. Also, they serve wine which is a plus ;)

Amazing bowling centre in the heart of downtown Cloverdale. They just completed a complete reno of the entire facility. Great place to bowl and eat.
