The kampong fried rice with belachan, roti cenai, fried noodles are delicious. The ice chendol & ice kachang are not tasty.

I AMINLOVEWITHTHISRESTAURANT! Service is nice but expect delays as it’s a a mom and pop. The food is SOAMAZING, comfort food to the max. I was having such a stressful week and just wanted to try something new. Hands down my favourite place to eat fried chicken now! Tip: Get it with the fried rice! Also Laksa was so tasty. Mee Goreng reminded me of pansit back in the Philippines too! Food here = flavour bombs I swear. Highly recommended! Give it a chance.

One of the better Malaysian restaurants I have dined at recently. Food was tasty! Service was friendly. Food took awhile to arrive as it seems like a busy take out joint in the area. The chicken dish was perfectly fried when it finally arrived. The roti was fluffy and the sauce was also very good. This is a very small restaurant, but clean. Parking at the back.

Stumbled across this tiny little place and was glad I did. Authentic cuisine that was delicious and well priced. Roti canai was delicious as wee the beef and lamb dishes. Highly recommend!

One word: Teleportation. This restaurant serves bona fide Malaysian Thai cuisine without actually having to take a 20 hour flight to South East Asia. As a Singaporean here in Canada, Mek’s Delights is indeed a delight. I had a couple of dishes here with my family and a friend. Roti Canai, Satay, Tom Yum, Mamak Mee Goreng. My stepdad had the lamb curry and it was superb. Oh, don’t forget to try the popiah goreng, not sure what you guys call it here. The place is small yet cosy. Homely is the word I’m looking for. Truly, something every Canadian should try here in Guildford.

banana leaf in kitsilano has always been my go-to Malaysian food restaurant for the past 7 years, it still is but this one is a close runner up! the look of the restaurant from the outside is misleading, and the location isn’t the best but the food makes up for it. try it out of you’re craving some thai/Malaysian food. get the roti canai to start, followed by the mee goreng with chicken!

This place is definitely a gem. Finally came here yesterday after being recommended by a few friends. We ordered Roti Canai, Three Tastes Fish, Chicken Apple, Nasi Goreng Kampong and Char Kwe Tiau. And all of them are just so good. The fish isn’t as spicy as how it looks and has that refreshing sour twist to it. The Chicken apple is better than what I was expected. It is perfectly cooked and the skin is really crispy. Not to mention that the apple sauce is really good. It’s is sweet but also a bit tangy. Nasi Goreng Kampong is quite spicy, in my opinion, but really authentic and delicious. Chat Kwe Tiau would be the only moderate dish we had on our table yesterday. It’s good, but not great. The winner for me would be the Fish and the Roti Canai. The Canai is very crispy on the outside yet still manage to be chewy at the same time. The curry that come with it tastes a bit spicy – which I like. We ordered our 2nd plate after tasting it. It is really that good. The only cons for me would be that the food takes quite some time for them to be prepared. However, considering the food, I think it definitely worth the wait. So yeah, definitely coming back here again! :)

Hahaha this place is a joke. The first review on here is so obviously written by the owner what a joke. The service was unusually and exemplary in being slow and rude and obnoxious. The food was overpriced slow and cold. Very small portions for a high amount of money. I would never recommend this place and I definitely would never come here again. Did I mention that this place is really expensive with cold lousy food? The owner told my pregnant wife that she wasn’t allowed to use the washroom unless we bought at least $ 30 worth of food. For this I say that they can go to hell. Don’t come here, ever!!!

Authentic, delicious, amazing Thai & Malaysian cuisine. Ended up talking to the thai/malaysian lady who was cooking at the time and she said she’s been cooking half her life– you can tell. Went there looking for something super flavourful– and was not disappointed. It’s not super cheap and the portions aren’t huge– but the quality is what matters. They have excellent quality of food. Very filling for what we did order. We’ll be back. We ordered the tom yum soup and and the roti canai(which comes with an amazing gingery curry sauce) — definitely will come back with more people so we can try and array of things.

Real authentic malaysian cuisine the restaurant only has like 16 seats but it’s totally worth the drive out to Surrey. Unlike other fusion thai restaurants the dishes are so flavourful. We ordered the Roti Canai which we thought was delicious! it was so rich and fluffy — my boyfriend is Indian so he’s used to eating Indian style roti and he loved this one. We also ordered the apple chicken which was a little too spicy for my liking but again that’s just my personal taste. The table shared an appetizer tray of Satay Skewers — LOVE!!! We also ordered the fish, and the hotpot looking prawn soup — very yummy. This place is definitely one of those«mom and pop» shops people need to check out!

We came here with our friend who highly recommended the beef rendang. When we got there, we were informed that they were out of rendang. :(Then we decided to try the sambal squid. but sadly, that was also not available! So, we ordered satay, which was not bad. However, they gave a very small amount of satay sauce to go with our double order so we asked for more but when it came, he gave us a big bowl and the sauce only filled the bottom ¼ of the bowl. The chicken curry was very watery. The taste was just ok. They killed the mixed vegetables dish and it was also very salty. Their service was extremely slow. Every time we ordered something extra, it took forever for it to come, including the satay sauce which is something that is always ready. The place was relatively clean but very sparse in term of décor and ambience. The meal came to $ 60 for the 3 of us for the 3 dishes plus 3 orders of rice and an order of Roti Canai which was not the best value considering the taste. Perhaps if we got to try the rendang the score might have been different…
