The bulk of our experience is in managing strata in Surrey BC, Langley BC, White Rock BC, Delta BC & New Westminster BC. However, we’d be more than happy to help strata councils and owners anywhere within the Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley regions.

History

Established in 2012.

Obsidian Property Management Ltd. was established in Surrey BC on November 28, 2012 by Sean Michaels. Sean has been studying best practices for strata since 2006, and wishes to assist council to improve their operations.

Our Vision:

We believe that everyone living or working in a managed property environment deserves the greatest enjoyment and vigilant oversight of their health, safety and financial position; and we facilitate this by offering strata management services that are accurate, lawful, personal and consistent.

At Obsidian Property Management we constantly challenge the status quo, raising the bar on what good property management is, in the eyes of our clients and the profession we serve.

Meet the Business Owner

Sean M.

Business Owner

Sean Michaels is the Managing Broker and President of Obsidian Property Management Ltd. Sean has dedicated his career to the study of strata; starting in 2005 when he was employed at the Financial Institutions Commission of British Columbia («FICOM»). In that same year, he became the president of the strata where he lives. He helped establish operations of a 250+ unit self-​managed strata; and has volunteered on the council several times since. In 2008 Sean passed his strata management licensing course; and promptly became licensed as a strata manager. Since then, Sean has deliberately managed as many different types of stratas/​buildings, and continues to expand his education in this profession. To sum it in a word it has become his vocation.
