In a word: Worthy. I love what this place stands for and what they’re doing. First, all their proceeds go to fully fund each Volken Academy enrollee and that’s amazing. Each person in the Academy is completely supported {in every way} not for a few weeks or a couple months but for TWOYEARS! What that does for families is incredible. They’re giving someone their life back. While attending the academy, the enrolles are trained to work and provide great customer service in the store. When you arrive, you’re welcomed at the front door with a greeting and a fresh baked cookie :) Love it. The in-house bakery is fab btw and prices are too. Great dry goods. The deli has roast chickens and a nice selection. And they even carry fresh cut flowers, which are very reasonable. The café is solid for sandwiches, snacks, smoothies, hot samosas, and now they added fresh juice made on the spot. They have a whole furniture section, including mattress’ and rugs. If you’re out this way or live nearby, this place is worthy of our support. And did we say how good the prices are.

Furniture store is not where you want to go, the staff will be nice and all but then if you receive your goods and have issues they will keep treating you nice until you give up and in three month your furniture starts breaking.

Tried to buy a sofa there(Dec 2013) and was completely ignored then abandoned while I thought I was negotiating the delivery terms, with wallet out and ready to purchase. Sales guy got interrupted by a co-worker, then both disappeared. Had to get on with my day and left empty handed.

Great Business… 100% of the Profits are used to Fund Charity Programs. «Welcome Home» is their drug and alcohol addiction recovery program. And, they provide residential housing, Councilling, support and Training Programs via the sale of merchandise from PRICEPRO. At the same time, this«warehouse concept» retail store has some GREATPRICES and Provides TREMENDOUSVALUE on various produce and other perishable grocery items such as Yogurt. They have their own on-site bakery, meat department, deli counter and snack bar. They even have a sizeable furniture department… John Volken, president of the United Furniture Warehouse chain, has created this company to assist in funding the Welcome Home Addiction Recovery Academy. Their Mission: Helping those who struggle, develop into self-supporting, contributing members of society, and become the beat that they can be.

Have been shopping here since it first opened up as «welcome home», its a good concept, they help recovering addicts find work in the grocery store which helps them get a head start in their careers. The store is kind of like costco without the membership fees. The Staff is pretty friendly, the prices are much better then safeway, superstore, saveon. I’ve bought furniture from here… Yes they have a huge furniture department in the back of the store as well and Found it all to be exceptional quality(solid wood) and reasonable prices. The deli and bakery are awesome and have awesome breads and meats.

yeah, you heard that right, for Surrey too! lol Seriously, what a nice gem here: almost like a smaller version of Superstore but more of a ‘warehouse’ environment. Doesn’t have the fancy flooring or the multiple of checkout aisles. Produce, deli, bakery, meat, clothing, and a furniture section that rivals a York! Loaded up on some Bolthouse Fruit Smoothies for just $ 3.99@, normally $ 5.99 at Superstore ;) Free parking.
